Honesty delightful fresh food. We've all traveled and we all love cooking and we were all blown away by the flavors.
Friends were saying it's the best this, or the best that, they've eaten.
Flatbreads that shock and amaze. Mussels in the fennel sauce orn whole roasted cauliflower, don't sound like they come off the same menu.

On Christmas day, my family always had a roast leg of lamb, but there were always two bites right on the bone that tasted a million times better than the rest. That was it. Two. All year, so we fought over who got it every year. My family would probably tell you I got it most years, but I can neither confirm nor deny that allegation. I remember those bites like it was yesterday. Today, I arrived at Joon as I always do, only to find it has been revamped, with a new menu. I ordered lamb. It was better than those two bites near the bone on our Christmas leg of lamb. Never, in my life, have I had lamb like that, and I've had a lot. It was as crisp as pork belly. It was superb.
I had the fish, too. It was beautiful. And the lemon raspberry dessert. Also wonderful.
I've been a loyal Joon regular for years. It's always been superb. The atmosphere is homely. The staff are wonderful. The food is incredible. Now Joon is quite a lot different than it was, but it's like having a little Franschoek-quality restaurant in my own suburb. Just don't visit too much. We need the parking. Unless you come with a dog, in which case we will happily give you our parking. We like dogs here in Muizenberg.

Joon is in a part of Muizenberg that is interesting and but away from the beach. So it’s hidden away in an interesting back street.
We had a whole mixture of mains that were well priced and really good - the butternut ravioli was a real hit as well as the maple syrup chicken breast and bacon burger.
The place is small with tables inside and out. Outside allows you to watch the world go by.
The place is not licensed so bring your own hooch and they don’t charge corkage

Great sunny family vibe, street side cafe in old Muizenberg Village. Lots of local support, good coffee, great pizzas and the best eggs benedict in a long while.

Joon is the perfect place to watch the coming and going of the locals, away from the commercial side of Muizenburg. Great food ( limited quality menu with a wesome specials) served with friendly staff ( think Cheers and " everyone knows your name)
Seating either inside ( seating for estimated 20 clients) or our personal favourite, the street/ cafe style seating. Engaging the locals walking past has lead to memorable engaging and entertaining evenings, learning about the non traditional way of living.
At least twice a month visit. You will not be disappointed in anyway.

My experience with pizzas is SA was pretty bad so far. Then I got here, and it was delicious pizza.

We ended up here with the Village Vibes tour and what a amazing Pizza experience. People are friendly, pizzas was one of the best food finds I had in a long time. Noon Gun Beer was great. Music was great. It was GREAT. Thanks.

This is one of the most authentic little spots I’ve visited. We went there for the Village Vibe event and I was completely overwhelmed by the friendly atmosphere and the pizzas were perfect! All the staff were so helpful and Joon herself is an inspiration. I can’t wait to go back.

It is situated five minutes walk of the Muizenberg beach. The staff is really friendly and we had a great breakfast. I especially enjoyed that everything was freshly prepared.

We were introduced to Joons by a local friend .It is off the main streets & busy with locals which is always a good recommendation. The food is fresh & very tasty & cooked to order ,scrambled eggs are to die for .Joon is a lovely friendly lady .Cant wait for our next visit .

The breakfast is always delicious, and well worth having the full English option, with juice and tea/coffee. Will set you up for a good day's sightseeing.
Service isn't rapid, but it is friendly, and it's a pleasant place to sit and soak up the local scene

Cute and cozy restaurant, absolutely recommend to go here. For dinner there is a very limited choices of food, I had the pizza, but there was also a few specials. There was a good amount of choices for lunch and breakfast. Amazing will be back soon

We have been going to Joon since it was opened and it's by miles the best restaurant and pizzas in the Cape. It feels like a second home and you would be crazy not to eat there when visiting Muizenberg.
