Can compete with best of other restaurants in Hermanus. Service was good. The food was the best we've had thusfar. The bouillabaisse was great, so was the prawns, calamari and fresh fresh hake! Well done and keep it up so that we can come back time after time.

We simply loved this place! we bumped into it while trying to decide where to eat and it took us two tries to get a table but it was completely worth it (certainly make a reservation to make sure you get a table!). It's a cozy place with great service and even better food! we loved the fish tartar that... More

We decided that, because we in Hermanus for only one night, we will have seafood. We asked 4 different spots in town and all pointed us in this direction. We shared a seafood platter for one. Food was fresh as if it just came out of the sea. Service excellent. We had no booking but they found us a table.... More

When asked the locals where is the best place to eat seafood, everyone pointed at the Fisherman's cottage. Do try the fisherman's soup! Lovely fragrant soup with fish, calamari and mussels served with aioli bread My husband had a special of grilled yellowtail served on a bed of creamy mussel pasta. Delish! The ambience is of a perfect little coastal... More

Each time we visit this little restaurant it really does remind us of being in Cornwall in the U.K. We just love the setting with its relaxed, friendly and cosy atmosphere. The menu is excellent with a blackboard of specials too, offering a wonderful variety of fish, meat and vegetarian options with a good wine list. Portion sizes are generous.... More

When you visit a town with such a beautiful old harbour and such incredible views the question of a great fish meal will invariably come up. Look no further than this wonderfully authentic restaurant. It is quaint, but it packs a great punch. I love the lightly dusted hake ( so often destroyed by too much batter) and the brilliantly... Really nice restaurant in Hermanus. Top quality chef who puts his soul into the cooking. Food rather better than 'Bib Gourmand' in Europe. Prices very good value. The wine list is decent rather than brilliant but if you've been wine tasting good to take advantage of the option to bring your own bottle and pay R40 corkage.

Came here to eat as I was really looking forward to having mussels, was disappointed to find out you couldn't have any mussels as a starter or main, only if you were having a platter as they had low stock. Food was good but steak was over cooked. After eating and drinking and paying the bill , my husband and... More
