We stopped at The Island Cafe for "quick" lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table after a few minutes. We placed a drinks order that was delivered to our table within a few minutes. We then placed our food and wine order. After waiting for the wine for about 30 minutes, we were able... More

Dear Martin G Thank you for your valued feedback. The day in question was busy however there is no excuse for the service you received. I was the manager who arranged the wine and my sincere apology that this long wait was extended with your meal and did not do justice to the Island cafe experience. Yours in service, Chris... More

Appearances can be deceiving. Attractive decor but disinterested slow service. Halloumi salad: cheese was killed and more peppers than anything else. Burger was decent. Chips were oily and salty. Better places to go.

Very quiet for our visit so the place lacked atmosphere. The staff attentive and helpful and the food was good. The best part is the old turbines etc which are very interesting. Maybe on a busy night and a bit of vibe the place would move up a notch on the scoring, can only comment on the evening we attended.

Dear Nick S Thank you for your valued feedback and response. The night you chose for dinner was a oddly quiet night for this time of the year. We appreciate your honest comments and look forward to having you visit us again on a busy vibey evening. Yours in Hospitality, Chris More

Actually we wanted to get a lunch. The menu looked very delightful, so we went in. We asked the waitress if we could sit outside for lunch. She agreed. After weve waited 15 minutes and nobody brought us the menu, we left. Such a shame. I really wanted to try the food.

Amazing setting, top quality and best value for money you can get. A must go for delicious breakfast and lunch by the pool, or by the scenic harbor or the sophisticated interior, a former factory!!! Amazing

Yes sitting in an old power station which produced the Island's electricity is a very earthy experience. However, the service and food was not at all down to earth. No it was much more elevated. It was, in fact, an event fashioned by the decor and the excellent food served in an interesting venue. It took a few hours but... More

We've been to Island Cafe before, and we recently had another great experience. Their waiters are efficient and their food is very good. The fact that this restaurant is part of the Turbine Hotel means that the decor is very interesting, with the old sawmill equipment all around. You will not be disappointed!

We went to dinner in the cafe overlooking the water and ordered for a starter the Greek salad with halumi cheese followed by their 250 Gr beef steak that came and 250 Gr beef sirloin. They were just delicious. The service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening

We came with our three kids for breakfast. The first thing that appealed to us was the beautiful eclectic decor and spacious seating area, which included ample seating both inside and outside. The menu was relativity small but carefully compiled and adults and children were happy with their meals. The food was fresh and beautifully presented, and the service was... More
