We ate in this restaurant twice whilst staying at the Queens hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient. Food was well presented and of good quality.
As a late arrival at the restaurant we were expecting to be rushed into ordering but no we were graciously seated by Johane who presented us with the menus and proceeded to get our drink orders. We both ordered a Ceasar Salad as a starter....More
Set in the Queen's hotel, the rich history is first to meet you upon entering the building. The restaurant is stylish and menu up-market. We had a wonderful night and everyone enjoyed their meals, young and old.
We were nearly the only people in the restaurant. Very comfortable spot. The food was good and service pleasant.
We had a reasonable meal here, the portion of venison I had was just too big and so rich it was almost off putting. I thin if I was passing I would give it one more try to be fair!
In Oudtshoorn for New Year’s Eve, without any reservation, we found the Colony, and had a nice evening there. Didn’t tick « very good » on TAdvisor, because it was good but not wahou !!!
This is the kind of restaurant where we get quite excited about the food - it's not quite there, but the chef clearly has the ability to raise his game, so - with the eager connivance of our friendly waitress - we would send back...More

The restaurant is in a nice monimental hotel. We expected more of the quality of the food. The venison (kudo) was OK.. But the linefish (yellow tale) was dty and the noddles were not well prepared. To hard. The cheese platter was not that special....More
