My friend brought me there for this famous frozen yogurt. I once tasted something similar in Hong Kong and this never disappoints me. Very tasty.

We visited as a family for a mid-morning snack and we were all amazed by the tastiness of the frozen yogurt and sorbets enhanced by a variety of toppings both sweets and sauces.

Wakaberry offers many delicious options of flavour combinations, sauces and toppings. I like the experience of making my own dessert and also the fact that when you're done you can write something special on your spoon and stick it on the tree!

This place almost feels like it wants to be a Menchie's...same style. Frozen yogurt and toppings by weight. Was a satisfying experience for the kids but the adults liked the other ice creams places on the same road.

The staff are fabulous, friendly and chatty. The frozen yoghurt, sadly, was not up to Wakaberry taste standard and was grainy on the tongue.

You know those days you wish to be a kid again. Those days you want an ice-cream filled with treats but are refused to buy because it's for kids only. Well here you can be a kid again. Pick you ice-cream, pick your toppings and create a master piece just like you want to. You pay per 100g, so you... More

I recently visited Wakaberry in Stellenbosch with three kids under the age of 8. The youngest dropped her bowl and all the frozen yoghurt fell on the floor. The owner, Paula, immediately came to the rescue and offered a refill. She also very kindly sorted out a gift voucher issue we had and made the effort to bring me a... More

This is a vamped up ice cream parlour. It's not actually ice cream but frozen yoghurt. My children got carried away with sprinkles and sauces as it's all self service. This is dangerous as you can't put it back when they have helped themselves. We were shocked at the price at the end as it is based on weight! Great... More

Great location to take a break and chill a bit. Lots of room for groups of students and discussions around all sorts of topics.

The service was good and friendly, and the idea of serving yourself is a great one (watch out for nasty surprises when it comes to paying, though as it is easy to misjudge the weight) and the variety of toppings is excellent, BUT the main thing is the frozen yogurt... and that was very disappointing. Not really creamy or flavourful,... More

Welcome to the new WakaNation – where every customer (affectionately known as Wakafans) gets to be the boss! Wakaberry is a unique and interactive self-service, soft-serve frozen yoghurt bar; established in Durban, May 2011. We offer only the best 100% REAL frozen yoghurt which is SUPER LOW IN FAT! The froyo flavours vary from store to store, but customers can expect a wide variety including classics like Strawberry, Vanilla, Mixed Berry and English Toffee and quirkier taste sensations like Green tea, Pomegranate, Kiwi and Watermelon. Toppings wise, for the fit and healthy we offer fresh fruit, nuts, and cereals, and for the downright wicked there are deliciously decadent desserts such as sweets, chocolates and sauces. Wakaberry is the first South African frozen yoghurt brand to offer this unique self-serve concept that allows each customer to be the boss of their own creation. The affordable pricing and pay-per-weight system means that customers can have as much or as little as they like.
