We were a party of 6 and enjoyed a thoroughly tasty and interesting lunch. All different dishes and all were very, very nice. Lovely staff. A lite of house red @ €4.50! Not bad either! Without doubt, if you're in Thomar, you should certainly try this place for lunch and, probably, dinner!

It was late, and we were still trying to find a restaurant, then got Riccobono on TA. We had fresh and good fish (Polvo and Salmão), not the best wine selection but a very friendly staff. I recommend, good and not expensive.

Had lunch here as a family of four. Some of the dishes are a bit uncommon to find in Portugal. Had a tasty (and quite big!) parmigiana steak with spaghetti that tasted really well and more than enough to share. Also a nice range of desserts to choose from.

We had lunch at this unpretentious restaurant on a busy Sunday afternoon. Apart from the somewhat slow service, it proved to be an excellent choice: the fish was fresh, the portions huge, the desserts delicious - including the tiramisu, which was a bit of a risky choice for people who live in Italy. Coffee was very good too. A perfect... More

Very mediocre compared with many restaurants i visited in 1 month in Portugal. Would not go back. However, we were a captive audience since most restaurants were closed as it was a Monday!

Had wonderful lunch here after touring Tomar town and the castelo. We just happened upon it as we were parked just down the street. Meals were very tasty local favorites accompanied by a bottle of chilled, refreshing Vinho Verde. Service was friendly and efficient altho communication was a little difficult as their English was spotty.

It was my second visit to Beira Rio. The location is great by the river and they have a good selection of Portuguese dishes. I must say that everything we ate there was well made and with a decent price.

This was not our first choice of restaurant, but it was a Sunday evening and many more conspicuous places were shut. But it was a happy accident. We ordered the house speciality - Frango na Pucara - a traditional Portugese casserole of chicken. It was classically homely and utterly delicious. It came with vast sides of rice and fresh Portugese... More
