This restaurant takes you to the age of templários nights. Everything is beautiful, old, in a good sense, and the environment makes you feel there among the nights. Of course, a bit of creativity is needed. There is also a Hidromel beer which it should be tried. Thiago is the best waiter I really loved that place

I eat here occasionally and often only go for a drink or a snack. The food is very tasty and the menu is quite different from the ordinary restaurant. You'll find meat, fish and veggie options. I love their chestnut mousse and their mead (hidromel)! They have a selection of homemade beers and nice wines. The environment is medieval, candle... More

We arrived on a cool Friday afternoon in November. This restaurant is tucked away in a corner of Praça da Republica. It looked interesting from the outside and was, indeed, very different to a traditional Portuguese restaurant. Only three tables were occupied so there was plenty of room for another two people. The back room is dark and atmospheric and... More

The best restaurant experience in Portugal! A cosy tavern lit up by candles and given ambiance by celtic music. One can truly immerse oneself in the way of the olden days here. The food is superb with generous portions and perfect flavour. Reserve a table beforehand to ensure you get one! Bravo!

Excellent beer and atmosphere. Vegetarian options on menu. Wait staff friendly and helpful. Quaint location off of main square. Worth a late night stop if in town.

Scenery makes you feel you have landed in some part of Medieval Europe. Tables have different names, like Bjorn for Vikings or Dragon in Flames for Chinese, All waiters are young, attractive bearded man, wearing ancient looking white shirts and pantaloons. You may say conquistadors went alive. Service and swift, food simple but tasteful. I would recommend soup of chestnuts... More

I will start with the good points, the food was very good, the entertainment excellent. However this place is not for me, the bench seating is very hard and it was so dark we needed the light from a mobile phone to read the menu. The glasses for the wine are so small and with the darkness you can not... More

We walked into this restaurant at about 1pm on a Tuesday, hungry and tired from the road. It had a small seating area outside, and a cool interior with small, ancient rooms dimly lit. The floors and walls were of stone, and the ceiling was timbered. There was a sizeable crowd of unhappy people milling about inside, waiting for a... More
