Traditional restaurant with booths so tiny and tables so narrow your knees touch those of your fellow diners. Not much in the way of German food on the menu. Pretty big portions and economical, but that's about it.

I've been living a couple of blocks away from this gem and recently gave it a chance. Bf and I are visiting once a month at least. Price-Quality ratio is one of the best in town, caring waiters (rare in this city, let's admit), menu is for german homesicks. We have had the german sausage, garlic soup (superb) and roman-style... Hermana is a classic in Palermo, born in the 50 still have a big menu where you can find from German food, classic meats, fish , past, all in generous portions and affordable prices, still like nothing happened around. Menu written in English and close from almost anywhere! Un clásico de los 50 aún vigente con un generoso menú con... More

I enjoy eating the same menu, it is reliable and the waiters know their job. Good service, good price! Black bread and German food.

Just finished my lunch of Milanesa de Pollo and mashed potatoes. The chicken was low quality dark meat with all kinds of gristle in it. It was also overcooked. The mashed were o.k. but lumpier than I like. But I wouldn't reduce the rating for that as many prefer them that way. The Milanesa is what crashed and burned here.... More

Having had a disastrous attempt to return to the St Telmo market, the metro just stopped at the Agüero station . We crossed over and went to the zoo at Placa Italia. By total happenstance we fell upon Hermann's , an old fashioned eatery with booths, seats that lifted like cinema seats and an ambience that could place you anywhere... More

Great traditionsl place, we visit every time we go to Buenos Aires. Great food, try the revuelto gramajo, the best in BA. Other dishes are great too. Old school waiters, a thick menu, fast service and great atmosphereA.

Hermann is a German style restaurant that is full of locals. Great portions. The german sausages with chacrut is a house specialty. Huge menu. Well prepared food. Many people ordered the kidneys in a gravy. Old time waiters. this is a restaurant that you want to come back to if you like local places to dine. Not fancy! Dress is casual.... More

Allegedly German food is served here...I've been going since I was a toddler and other than some wurst I mostly had old school Argentinian meals there. Good service, nostalgic architecture, large portions and tasty dishes are their recipe...it works, nothing extraordinary, but definitely worth going.

My boyfriend really wanted to eat German food in BA and this was the closest to where we were staying. Nearly walked straight past it as it is fairly unassuming from the outside. It also wasn't open yet although we got there at 8pm. We went for a short walk to fill time until it opened and it was worth... More
