I really like this kind of small but authentic restaurants that are the core of homemade local cuisine. The place is cosy with Mendoza home made food. Great value for money and certainly you feel like a local

Well. No credit or debit cards. Each dish severely over the standard price of the market. Slow service. Plastic tables and plastic chairs. Well, you have thousands of better places at more convenient price in town. This one is just expensive and irrelevant. Please avoid it.

We were there with friends and we order empanadas, the oven aubergines and the humita (corn) pie. Everything was delicious. The service was very warm and attentive. The guitar player was extremely good. They knew about what dishes could my celiac husband eat and not eat, which were gluten free. It was extremely friendly night. They have a nice terrace... More

We went to this cozy little restaurant with our cousins who live in Buenos Aires. It is one of their favourite places to go to eat. It certainly has a cozy atmosphere with perhaps about a dozen tables at the maximum, so reservations are recommended if you wish to have dinner around the 9 pm mark and later. My wife... More

Pan y Teatro is a restaurant my friends and I went to on a recommendation from some local Portenos and it was delicious. Maybe because it was mid week during the holidays, but the "Teatro" consisted of an older gentleman playing an old piano for about 10 minutes in the middle of the restaurant. He was good, but it would... More

I was in Buenos Aires for business and took a cab to the hotel. The driver started talking about all the places he took visitors to. He seemed to know a lot of places. So I asked him what is the place that he recommended and he said: when I have an extra "peso" to go out with a girl,... More

Pan y Teatro was recommended to us by a family member who lives in Buenos Aires. We were looking for somewhere special to have a nice dinner and Pan y Teatro ended up being the perfect place. The restaurant is located on a quiet neighborhood street, it is the type of restaurant that you don´t just stumble upon; you have... More

We had a great meal and experience at this cozy and eccentrically decorated family-run restaurant. Traditional Argentine fare was given a creative - but still down-to-earth - treatment with a stronger than usual emphasis on salads and vegetables and fresh herbs. The complementary homemade breads and dips of the day served as we perused the menu were as absolutely delicious... More
