We eat there regularly and always eat well. Our favourites are boquerones, langostinos al ajillo, chernia a la plancha con puré de espinacas. The owner Mrs Susana is usually receiving people when they come in but if she is not in, her sons are there. Most of the waiters are charming old school type, and usually respond to good sense of... Service and meals are good but when the bill comes you may have surprises. If they rate the fish larger than usual they will charge extra without your knowing ahead. I complained and instead of apologising they blamed the waiter for not doing his job. I will not recommend a restaurant that does not respect employees and customers.

Iñaki is one of the best spanish food restaurants in Buenos Aires, if not the best.Of course you should enjoy a paella and have the socarré.It is the bottom of the paella which sticks to the metal...you have to ask the waiter to have it removed for you.The gambas al ajillo(shrimps) and the pulpo a la gallega(octopus) are very dear... We tried to go here mid week on the off chance but they were fully booked, so we booked for the following night as we didn't want to miss out!! And we were not disappointed!! We had great service, with our waiter recommending some amazing dishes as we couldn't decide with everything looking so good. The restaurant had a great... More

this is always an amazing place for a big group as the opportunity to try many of the different offerings in a shred fashion exists. the special rices( paellas ) are the best in the city .the fish is fresh and cooked perfectly..i never visit this city without eating in this wonderful seafood restaurant.

Extremely good food, no doubt one of the best fish and sea-food restaurants in town. I have been visiting this restaurant nearly for the past, maybe 10 to 15 years, and it is very, very consistent. Always good and fresh seafood, service is perfect, location not very tourist-friendly (and that is maybe what makes it even better). Ant the owners... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
