I had initially come in to have a steak. I had asked the host if she knew another Plaza to walk around and enjoy the late afternoon on Christmas Day. I had just arrived to my hotel an hour before. The person I has asked went to get an opinion of a colleague. She then goes and asked some bald... More

We weren't looking for something too fancy, and we were enchanted by the hostess that said we would not regret the choice of having diner there. One of the best chorizo beef in that trip, definitely .

In a lovely spot just outside the gates of Recoleta cemetery - very much geared for the tourism market in Buenos Aires. The service was welcoming and efficient. After pigging out on steak the night before I felt like something different. I love Morcilla and hadn't indulged this trip, I wish I hadn't here. The sausage was fatty and gristly... More

Claudia is the best! Great chorizo y cerveza! Stopped in after wandering around the Recoleta Cemetery. It was perfect location for a cold beer to cool down after the heat and humidity of January! Seriously, Claudia was awesome. I was traveling alone and she I had a great time visiting (with my VERY poor Espanol) with her before and after... More

It is a very interesting cemetery in the Recoleta area. You can also visit the one where Evita Peron and her family are buried. Worth to see.

The food is marginal but the service good. The provoleto was shamelessly burnt on both sides and the beef ribs served 10 minutes after everyone else's meal were not warmed all the way through. They were not eaten and taken off the bill without asking. We should have endured the blustery weather until we found a place they are not... More

I notice some people have given this restaurant a mediocre rating. Maybe because they were expecting too much. It is not the best steak house in Buenos Aires, not even close but I go there for simple food. I always get the Beef Milanese, beetroot salad, fries and a bottle of Malbec. Simple and I really enjoy it. Plus I... More

Hate to slam restaurants but this place did not live up to our expectations of Argentinian beef. Recommended by our hotel, our family in Buenos Aires brought us there. After getting the main course, they were mortified that the beef was tough and just not right. Sitting outside was enjoyable and good wines. Only problem with where we sat outside... More

Right across the way from Ricoleta Cemetery, it has a great location, and they work hard to get you inside. The service is really good, and the food is just fine...nothing special. Overall it is simply a pleasant experience; a really nice place for a meal

The food is so-so. Prices are decent but the food is nothing special. The location is nice on a Saturday afternoon because this restaurant is located across the street from Recoleta Cemetery. There are performers and vendors selling goods. Beware of the beggars and some shady people. It's not the restaurant's fault, it's just a touristy area - especially during... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class.
