Second time in Tarquino and is 100% worth it. You will be surprise with each of the 9 dishes of the tasting menu. The Chef, which used to work at El Buli could not be nicer, he talked to everybody in the restaurant and made sure that everything was good. Fantastic service. Expensive but worth it

great modern cuisine with a strong emphasis on classic dishes of Argentina. The room is beautifully understated and the service is flawless. Tasting menu only, but worth the splurge.

Great food. Awesome service. The six course tasting menu with paired wines is spectacular. A lovely break from the super traditional argentine parillada!!

Four of us had the six course tasting menu on a Tuesday evening. The course sizes were appropriate for a tasting menu and we left feeling sated but not uncomfortable. Three diners enjoyed the wine pairings. The menu was creative and each course was a nice complement to the progression of the meal. The menu started with "Chicken and Egg":... More

We love to go to culinair cuisine around the world and based on different publications we went to Tarquino. Between the many good steak restaurants you might be impressed about the so called fine cuisine here. The different dishes however were far below any standard you may expect from a restaurant on this level both in taste as well composition... More

Set in a beautiful and magical space, I wish the food was as good as its ambiance. Molecular food a la Bulli, but not even close. With a 9 curse menu, it is kind of overpriced for the value of the experience. Each course, is kind of too complicated and pretentious. We had a great recommendation from a friend to... More

Five-course tasting menu overpriced for the items and choices. Usually, you could leave satisfied with this type of meal. Required credit card number at time of reservation.

Included with the Hub hotel stay, this was one of the finest breakfasts I've ever had anywhere in the world.

We chose to do our "fine dining" experience at Tarquino after reading about the restaurant on CNN in an article regarding the best steaks. Unfortunately, there wasn't a steak on the menu the night we were there, but we weren't disappointed! The restaurant itself is pretty much hidden--have the address on your phone or a slip of paper before you... More

I am going to divide this review into sections because the typical ratings just don't seem to do it justice. There were some extreme highs and some lows too. My wife and I ate here on our last night in Buenos Aries after about 2 weeks of food and wine tasting a crossed South America. We had the 7 course... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
