I visited this restaurant with a friend last night. The service was great and the ambiance as well. However, from the small menu, the first the things I ordered were not available, and one of them we were only told 5' to 10 minutes later, when they said it would take too long to make a risotto. Then when I... More

We were walking around Palermo looking for a restaurant and saw this little, not pretentious restaurant with only a few people inside, and continued walking to check out a few more places, but kept it in mind. We decided to give it a go, as the menu looked interesting. At the beginning the waiter seemed to ignore us, so we... More

We discovered Mood in April this year and had a fantastic meal with great service - really couldn't fault it. So, on our next trip to Buenos Aires in December we decided to make a return visit and were very dissapointed. Yes, the staff are still helpful and keen to explain the menu and help with choices, but the quality... More

We happened upon this restaurant while exploring our new neighborhood when we first arrived in Buenos Aires. We enjoyed the food very much. Our attentive waiter made helpful food and wine suggestions. My husband tried the lomo and I had the Thai salad with beef--both excellent choices. A few days later we made a return visit to Mood and just... More

I discovered Coffee House Mood a few weeks ago and have been coming back most days ever since. You are always greeted with a warm smile by Monica the owner. As well as great food and drinks they've created a really nice relaxed atmosphere with beautiful artwork on the walls, comfortable seating, soft lighting and mellow background music. It's serves as... More

We were staying in local hotel and picked this restaurant after wandering down the street. A lucky choice. This is an unusual place which apparently serves as a bakery/coffee house by day and a restaurant by night. The waiter/manager explained that they bake 15 kinds of bread each day--the one with dinner was delicious. He was a wonderful host, very... More

Mood is like "Foodies Gone Wild" in Palermo. In English, "Coffee House Mood" says it's just a coffee house, but in fact Mood is a fine-dining restaurant serving wonders from breakfast to dinner to late night. They have this identity crisis because, apparently, the purpose of Mood is to allow Gaston and his crew to indulge their passion for cooking... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
