Having eaten so much beef while in Buenos Aires, we wanted to try some seafood. Tancat appeared to fit the bill, made a reservation for 20:00 and arrived a little early, only to find that this restaurant is tiny and the table for two was against a wall back to back with tables behind us, cramped is an understatement. The... More

Very nice restaurant, good food, good service. Go early to avoid fighting for a table with the locals, otherwise make sure you reserve in advance. We tried all the signature or Tancat specials and they were delicious. The Norton Malbec was also good.

Good seafood is surprisingly hard to find in Buenos Aires, but Tancat really delivers. Three out of our four dishes were truly excellent, with only one of our main courses (the restaurant's signature dish, as it happens) not quite hitting the mark. Despite this minor disappointment, Tancat still warrants a four star review. We will definitely return.

Cozy bustling spanish/basque restaurant, with red leather booths, warm ambience, festive lighting, professional service, delicios drunks and extensive wines. Ended up here by chance which is often the best way, stumbling along and suddenly it appeared! I have never had such an incredible Tortilla Espanol--they bring it to the table straight from the oven and crack it open for you... More

I am not a foodie but consider myself at least an advanced amateur. In what amounts to an Italian city located in South America, this is a fine Basque restaurant located not far from Avenida 9th de Julio. We were able to get a table without a reservation, probably because like most people from North America we wanted to eat... More

If you are looking for a choice of Spanish style food, then this place is a great choice. Every dish is well prepared and served. The ambience is nice, not a trendy spot, but more of a traditional one although in a quite modern setting. Very recommendable.

It was out last night in Buenos Aires after an incredible comedy show (Toc Toc). Some friends recommended the place and it was really nice. It's a small place, filled with tables and full of people. Service was excellent even with the place full. The food was incredible and the prices really affordable in comparison to other places with not... More
