We walked into the Hyatt Hotel a couple of days ago and admired how beautiful it was. We also encountered this restaurant inside the Hyatt, Los Salones de Piano Nobile, with its beautiful indoor and outdoor seating and decided we would be back to have...the grilled octopus (pulpo). The outdoor seating overlooks a really nice garden/lawn area. Unfortunately, when we came back two days later, all the outdoor tables with shade had been taken, so we elected to sit inside as the only other tables outside were in full sun. (There was one shaded table at the end of the patio area, but it was designated the bar’s patio (the bar being right next door), but apparently restaurant patrons are not allowed to sit there.). However, we did snag the best indoor table by the window, a four-top, and even though we were only two, they welcomed us to sit there. It was a beautiful day, so we were happy. We both had the grilled octopus appetizer which was perfectly cooked and set in a shallow bowl of delicious vichyssoise. I still had some vichyssoise in my bowl and our server, Federick, encouraged me to finish it. I was really full, but did as encouraged. I am so glad I did!!! I had been cutting a dragging the slices of pulpo in the vichyssoise through my meal, but when you JUST savor the vichyssoise, the flavors really come alive without the pulpo. This dish was so beautifully presented I considered it a piece of art. (We learned the chef, who is from Argentina, studied in France and Spain.) I also tried their soup of cucumber, fresh yogurt and avocado slices. I think there were also thin slices of zucchini. It was very tasty. Could have been colder, but “muy sabrosa” nevertheless. Our servers were Catalina and Federick. Catalina started us off by introducing us to a very nice Chardonnay from the Mendoza area of Argentina and served us our first appetizers. Federick took over from that point forward to the end of the meal. He engaged us in a lot of fun conversation, including talk of the preparation of the food we were eating, information about the chef, the history of the hotel (which used to be a home, built in 1932), the area of the hotel we were in which includes a limited number of suites (maybe 12?), and the mid rise tower on the other side of the garden that includes standard hotel rooms. He even went out of his way to find some nearby cheese, bread and salami shops. And, he really liked Behr, our very small traveling companion. What can we say? This restaurant with its great food and wonderful service was a winner!More

We did an online reservation for dinner. The place is astonishing. The service was superb thanks to José and the rest of the people. We had the three courses and everything was great. We also tried a couple of cocktails (mojito and bloody mary) and...were amazing. It's expensive for the locals but a bargain if you are from abroad. Less than U$S 100 for a 5 star dinner in one of the best places in Buenos Aires. Absolutely recommended.More

We had lunch here today and the veranda on a picture perfect day. What made the day besides the atmosphere and weather was the delicious menu. Wine choices and impeccable service. Our server was Pablo who along with Frederick were attentive, knew the menu and...wine suggestions. We will return again and highly recommend eating and staying here. It is an oasis in the middle of the. It’s.More

My family often goes here and I’m yet to seen a day where they don’t come to me saying how great they were treated, so I went try it for myself. Ignacio (Nacho) gave us a fantastic service, forever grateful for this type of places...were you can enjoy a great time with this type of world class service. I’d also like to remark Priscila and Manuela for being available for any of our needs. Again, fantastic night, and the food was amazing, specially the Carrot Cake dessert.More
