We had a reservation made by our hotel. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant has some evidence of carelessness in the installations. The window's brass elements had been cleaned but al the smeared cleaning paste had been left on the surrounding wood. Since I was facing the window, that was something that attracted my attention all the time. The... More

We went there for a late lunch - had the salmon and the fish of the day. Both entrees were great. Ambience is good, waiters were polite and we were happy to get this service after 4 days of crappy service elsewhere

This restaurant came highly recommended by multiple sources. The setting is very quaint and reminiscent of a small Italian restaurant one might find in Milan or Florence not on Avenue Libertad in busy Buenas Aires. The service was friendly and prompt. The eggplant starter and great bread basket set the tone for what was hoped to be a great meal.... More

The menu is extensive and the pasta I ordered which was black with shrimps was very good, although slightly heavy on the sauce. I also didn't find the sauce (tomato with creme) appropriate for shrimp, but like I said it tasted fine. I asked around in other italians if the shrimp was fresh, and they told me it was 3... More

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch. My salad with grilled salmon was ok, but nothing special. Hard to order because of limited English by the waitstaff. Welcoming complimentary drink, but a charge for the bread.

We were advised to come here by our hotel the Park Hyatt. The position on the waterfront is lovely. Sadly being Monday the fish available were limited and our waiter inferred that we should have been aware of this! The pasta was good but we felt somewhat forced into some of the courses without sufficient explanation. There appeared to be... More

To start, the restaurant automatically charges you ~$63 pesos per person (aka cubiertos) as a seat charge and includes some bread (fine print below the postre menu). Food was just average and the waiter ended up charging us for 2 of the premium glasses of wine although we ordered the house ($129 vs $90 pesos). We are two fluent Spanish... More

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here with locals. They accommodated our special requests, the wine was well selected, and the ambiance was really exciting.

This was the best dinner we had in Buenos Aires. We went to 5-star grilles, local restaurants recommended by friends and internationally acclaimed restaurants but this was by far the best. Busy, slightly chaotic, waiters very quick and knowledgeable, as Italian restaurants should be. Excellent Italian food, ambiance and service in a good neighbourhood. Do go!

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
