This restaurant was just delicious and we loved every bite. We went for lunch- it was a fixed menu. Everyone in our family thought it was one of the best meals we had. The dessert (creme brûlée with dulce de leche) was just divine. Wine...menu was fabulous. Service was top notch. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation- you will be glad you did.More

Azafran was our favorite of several top notch restaurants we visited in Mendoza. As other reviews mention, one special thing is the ability to go to the wine room and pick wine matched to your tastes and meal with the help of the sommelier. Our...group had lots of input and the sommelier helped us pick the perfect wines. But the meal was also very special--we'd had steak many places by then, but this was one of the best, and the beef carpaccio melted like butter. We did the 3 course menu and it was plenty. This was described as one of the best restaurants in Mendoza and we all agreed it was our favorite thereMore

We tried booking and couldn’t get in across several nights. But they said outside tables are free: just turn up. And as locals eat from 9pm, just go early. They only do menus 2,3 or 4 courses. But you choose each course from about 6...options. £20 for 2. £24 for three. But the exchange rate moves so.... Anyway. Relatively straight forward food but with the odd twist. Loved most things. Service was friendly, professional and the best we’ve had of a good bunch in Argentina. Meant to have 2 courses but had 3 because. On a lovely 2 block stretch between the Diplomat and Hyatt hotels full of upmarket, attractive bars and restaurants.More

We had to push hard to get a table the night we visited. There were 6 of us and we ended up grabbing two tables outside and squeezing 6 of us round them. The staff were extremely accommodating, even though they were doubtful it could...be done. As you can see the restaurant was packed at 7:00pm so if you want to go be wiser than us and book in advance! With the extra people to cater for we had to wait a little longer for service but not much and the staff were very good. We nearly all had fillet steaks and I have to say this was the best steak I have ever had the pleasure to have eaten. Beautiful meat, cooked to perfection. I can't tell you about the supporting vegetables, other than they were perfect but my memory of that steak will live with me the rest of my days!More

Absolutely amazing. We ended up eating here three times during our five days-trip to Mendoza. We had the best steaks of our lives here! Do NOT miss out on their fillet mignon! But the main reason for us going back here so many times, was...our sommelier Marielle. So nice, attentive and knowledgeable! She made our wine pairings so much fun and memorable. We learned a lot from her as well! Hope to come back soon!More

Our last night in Mendoza so wanted somewhere special. We definitely chose right. Made reservations for 7:00PM. Was a good choice as it really starts to get full after 8:00. Service was spot on. Sommelier was excellent—took us personally into the wine cellar and helped...us choose a really good wine and her analysis of it was perfect. We went with the full 4 course meal and would have been better off with one of us having 3 courses and the other 4. Steak is huge and really difficult to eat all of it—but it is so good! Rated as one of the best restaurants in Mendoza and deserves it!More

A well-run operation inspired by an obvious love of wine and fine food. The dishes were original and beautifully presented. We both had the trout which was firm and fresh on a bed of octopus-ink infused rice. This was helped down by a glass of...Piatelli Torontes with a surprisingly long finish. We ate outside, but visited Azafran's extensive wine collection which takes up about half the available space inside the restaurant.More

Very. For us. The only thing was a little confusion about the reservation, which took a strangely long time to resolve (while we were told not to worry, everything was ok, they just needed to figure something out). Once we... More
