Piramides is a small town so there are not that many options for eating out. I would recommend El Refugio. The food is good. Service is with a smile. the surroundings are suitably quirky. This was the first restaurant we tried after arrival, recommended by the owner of our lodging, and it was a great place to relax and dine after the flight and drive to Puerto Piramides. Good food, pleasant place to be.

This is a really cosy and great little restaurant with excellent local cuisine and friendly staff. If you like local small places and not mainstream, this is the place to be (although you pretty much are this type of person if you are staying in puerto piramides :-) ) I ordered the gambas a la plancha; they are really one... We had only one dinner in El Refugio, then on the next day we went to the nearby "Estacion". We think El Refugio has a peculiar atmosphere (e.g. a large checkerboard with huge chess pieces, on one of the tables), but Estacion offers far better food.
