Jauja is a gem located in the central part of Bariloche. Featuring a contemporary design with ample room and seating for diners downstairs and upstairs, the restaurant is accessible via steps or a ramp. The menu features a wonderful selection of well-prepared appetizers, salads and entrees. Before dinner we settled in with cocktails from the full bar followed by grilled... More

We went for dinner and I ordered Venison filet "parrillado" with sautée potatoes. My fiancée ordered Potato Gnocchi with Bolognese sauce! Mine was excellent! My fiancée said hers was just good. They also have pretty good wines in the glass to go with if you don't feel like drinking a full bottle. If you are driving, I suggest parking one... More

I come to Jauja with my family every time I visit Bariloche, and it is one of the few restaurants that has maintained and improved its standards over the last 30 years. It is no coincidence that Joan Manuel Serrat visited it and that it has even a table cover signed by Nelson Mandela!

They have a really big menu, that's a problem in restaurants like this beau use they don't focus on the flavor of all dishes, I had a grilled trout with Roquefort sauce, and it could be really better, the sauce had not that strong Roquefort flavor, and the presentation of the dishes could be much better.

The atmosphere is high end and so are the prices. Therefore, I think it's fair to expect high quality food. That simply is not the case. I ordered the Bife de Lomo (filet mignon) and it was dry and tasteless. My partner ordered lamb that was decent at best. We ordered dessert that turned out to be bread with sweet... More

After few days of pasta and great red meat we opt for the local trout and fresh mixed salad. For dessert we enjoyed tea and fantastic tiramisu. BTW there is a taxi stand down the street, about 100 meters from the resturant. Recommend. Tip: Bring with you the resturant card, every hotel has a display of restaurants cards, and enjoy... More

I had the pleasure of ordering and eating dinner at Jauja. Their service was excellent, menu range fantastic and the food so yummy and perfectly cooked. I orders Patagonia Lamb so yummy and the grilled vegetables. One of the best meals. They are also open just that little bit earlier then order places, which was great on a wet cold... More

Description
Jauja Restaurant and Grill is one of the oldest and most traditional restaurants in San Carlos de Bariloche, with over 30 years of uninterrupted activity. This has led them to have a very caring customer treatment and a very extensive menu, with the aim to offer variety and service, both to tourists and residents; therefore, in our menu, apart from the traditional cuts of Argentina grill and Patagonian lamb special, you will see two types of trout of the area, Chilean salmon, Spanish squid, fried calamari, shrimp and haddock Atlantic. Pasta varieties: vegetable ravioli, pumpkin or trout, sorrentinos, lasagna.
Typical dishes of European cuisine cuts alternate with hunting deer and wild boar. They are also classic smoked trout, deer, boar and lamb, venison and lamb patties, as their variety in desserts make up a large and sober menu. Accompanied by a dozen Argentine wineries that make a balanced menu Rutini wines, Nieto & Senetiner, Terrazas de los Andes, End of the World, Rock, Las Perdices, Tomero or Andeluna, make a wide range of alternatives.
