Following Trip Adiversor advices, we went there to have dinner. It is a small place, with excellent food. We tried lamb and "entranas" a different meat from cattle's diaphragm, with a lot of fatty in it. . Very tasteful.

The beef was just flat out terrific!!!! We also had grilled veggie which were great too. $60 for 2 meats, veggies and a bottle of wine. Cute little comfortable house that is 5 minutes from downtown.

We went as a couple for Easter expecting incredible service and food but we were turned down miserably. Staff was rude and unresponsive. Not recommendable at all.

went because of it's TA status. it's good, though the decor feels a little sparse, and the tables by the main door get blasts of chilled night time air from outside. Service is very alert. I believe the owner was present, though her staff were...More

The food here was good and the waiters kind. However the meat was clearly overcooked (a pity for a steakhouse) and the restaurant was too noisy with the waiters hurrying by behind our chairs all the time

We ended up here several times in our 6 week trip to Chile and Argentina. It was easily the best traditional asado meal we had - much better than Don Julio in BA and Francis Mallman's restaurant in Mendoza. Simply beautiful quality meats cooked and...More

Try Facebook, not allowed to write email address here! And don't worry about the clothing, alto el fuego is not an elegant restaurant, just be confortable!

I don't remember any purely vegetarian entree's but like others said, there were veggies as sides that you could order several of. I did have a salad but it was not entree sized.
