Once inside it feels as if you are in a sleepy town somewhere in old Mexico. The menu presents a full array of tasty authentic and fresh Mexican meals to choose from. La Cabana leaves you with a very satisfied tummy and a good feeling of warmth and security in a low key environment.

Stopped for lunch last Saturday .... nothing unique about the dining area except the wobbly chairs .... round generic corn chips a little stale .... watery salsa .... and not very flavorful meals .... in fact, the red sauce was on the watery side too .... Service was Ok .... not unfriendly ... just Ok. I think there are many... More

We were new to Nogales when we were starving for dinner after a day of looking for houses. La Cabana was the first place we saw open, and in we went. You may be taken aback as you enter--the interior is not much to look at, and the atmosphere is most certainly informal. But your order is cooked fresh as... More

Horrible service, very expensive. My boyfriend, his daughter and I ate chilies rellenos, tacos and 5 beers, plus guacamole and a quesadilla. Total bill $82.00. Totally screwed us. Never again, and she forgot our flan to go!!!!

On a road trip through Arizona. I'm Mexican, from California. I figured being on the border with Sonora, we were sure to find good Mexican food. Not the case. This place has horrible service (our waitress barely spoke to us and seemed annoyed we were in there) the restaurant is super dirty (dirt all over the floors, repulsive bathrooms) ,... More

On the advice of other reviewers we found our way to La Cabana. Not crowded at lunch, about 10 people during the Friday noon hour we were there. Yet judging by the large amount of fresh produce (tons of tomatoes) arriving, the Dinner hour might be the best bet. I say this because while I liked my Rellenos, my wife... More

3rd visit in two months and once again I was impressed. Margaritas excellent. Attentive staff (3-4 employees). Family run. This border restaurant has not forgotten their culture & recipes. Food was excellent (tamales, rellenos, guacamole). Nothing "commercial" about this restaurant. The service, food quality and concentration on the culture by what appears to be a small family run business was... More

My wife had their tostado lunch. She felt it was very good and warmer than some we have had. I had my standard Tamale & Chili Rellano plate .it was good but it is the first time I have had a Rellano with out it being seeded! So hot was the word. It was tasty. Sadly enough the Tamale was... More

THEE FRESHEST, MOST DELICIOUS NATURAL HOMEMADE SALSA EVER!!! Not only was the food good but the staff was delightful. Not only do you leave with a full and satisfied belly you come back for more with warm hospitality. Just make sure certain chefs are there for the best experience. This is a review from visiting there in 2010.

We went for dinner - had tamales and they were very good - salsa was good - service was good but we needed a translator on some things.
