I just hate to write a terrible review but we loved the old place. Ask for a 2 scoop ice cream (CONE). Gave it to me in a cup. Told the guy I wanted a cone so he just stuck one on the ice cream in a cup. Three of us went. My mother-in-law had rainbow sherbet. It was terrible.... More

Used to go here when we lived in Phoenix and the address listed is the old full size restaurant site. They have moved to a smaller spot in a strip mall just south of Bethany Home on 7th STREET - I highlight that in caps on purpose. The new spot has just ice cream so no more restaurant food and... If I wanted standard commercial ice crème I would go to the market or a chain shop, not that they are all that bad. But sometimes I want to spend my hard earned greenbacks on homemade edibles. I don't consider price when I visit. I know that I'm getting what I pay for. And, when I'm in Phoenix I try... More

We love the sugar free almond amaretto ice cream here. It has become one of our favorites. The service is always excellent and one of the friendliest places in the city that we've been too. The old fashioned ice cream parlour ambience makes it a fun place for everyone loaded with nostalgia. The sandwiches and chicken walnut salad are also... More

We stopped at Mary Coyle's to eat dinner, but mostly for the ice cream as we were returning home from a trip to Vegas. Food was reasonably priced and delicious. The desert menu is full of tasty options, and everything we had was very, very good. Our kids loved the food and atmosphere.

I remember going to Mary Coyles as a kid for a special treat. They still have great ice cream with all the options of sodas, sundaes, floats, banana splits, etc. Servers are friendly and cheerful and wear uniforms like the old days. Enjoy lunch, etc. but be sure to top it off with an ice cream dessert. This is not... More

Great little ice cream parlor with decor matching the "Happy Days" era. Ice is very tasty. Great value. Would definitely go back again.

Nice old fashion ice cream parlor; servers with nice and neat uniforms. Is only about sandwiches, salads and pricey ice cream. The menu does not have pictures of the ice cream specialties like "the Grand Canyon". I left with the feeling that something was missing on the menu besides steaks and sure enough that I am not visiting again.

Whitey's in Moline, IL DAvenport, IA has great tasting old fashioned crystalline? ice cream - I don't like cold stone it's glorified whipped cream. Mary Coyle has it and I couldn'r find it elsewhere and Sweet Republic is good too. If you were alive for the 50's-60's or saw shows of that era this is it. And no they aren't... More
