We arrived in Phoenix rather late at night and in need of some refreshments. The restaurant stays open a little later than others in that area. We got a huge basket of chips and large bowl of excellent queso. Servers were attentive despite the late hour. Glad we stopped in.

Not what it once was. Salsa was bland. Food did not taste fresh and had way too many onions. Whole restaurant needs a makeover, looks like it hasn't been touched in 20 years. Waitress was really nice and attentive, prices were good just need to work on taste, presentation and ambiance.

Thanks for your feedback! I am sorry that your experience was not ideal. We have been trying to keep everything the same for the past 40 years so we can achieve a "historical landmark" status for the building... Just kidding :) Your point is well taken about the makeover. I can assure you that all of our food is made... More

Thanks for you comments! It is so nice to hear that you enjoyed our restaurant with 3 generations of your family! Our restaurants are very much about family. You might also meet in the restaurant a few generations of O'Brien's. And you are right about the Apple Pie... it is probably enough for 6 to share. Unless you are my... More

We were looking for a place to get Irish food for St Patrick's day but it turns out it's a Mexican restaurant! They did offer green beer and margaritas and a couple Irish entrees though. Service was good and the food was too.

We went to Carlos O Briens in Phoenix on the recommendation of a local relative that met us for dinner there. Menu is standard Mexican dishes. I thought the food was good and enough to walk away full. Bill for 3 dinners and soft drinks with tip was about $65.00. Would consider it again when in Phoenix and looking for... More

This place is always crowded, so I figured I'd check it it out. I don't know what the attraction is, because it certainly isn't the food. We came for happy hour, so the margaritas were at a reduced price. Entrees we're reasonably priced, most around $11. The food was plentiful, but everything was smothered with too much cheese and sauce.... More
