In my opinion Taylor's Chowder House has the best fish and chips in the Phoenix. Service was great. Portions were huge.

I stopped in to try the chowder. I also had the fish and chips. The fish was good and both are worth a return trip the next time I want fish and chips with chowder.

Food - Good seafood for the desert. Fried whole belly clams are wonderful but obviously not as fresh as New England. Clam chowder is good. Decent wine and beer selection. Service - Attentive and friendly staff. Drinks stayed full and food served in a timely fashion. Ambiance - Excellent environment. Rustic maritime decor. Clean restaurant and plenty of open space.... Love the whole belly clams and chowder. The coleslaw- not so much. Love the nautical theme and the server was very friendly and nice. I live across town but always try to make it to Taylors every few months.

This not my first visit to Taylor's Chowder House. I am from New England so I would never eat clam strips. My meal started with fresh hot bread with a garlic butter. I ordered fried clam and scallop plate at $19.95. The strip plaza is run down, but inside the place decorated with maritime items. I stop here when I... More

Food was very bland. Chowder was watery. The squid was tender but was really Octopus. The garlic butter had no flavor, the salad had two slices of tomato and cucumber, and the fish was fresh but also bland. One waitress for the entire place on a Sunday. Service was slow! We visited 15 years ago and I believe the accessories... More

being from New Hampshire I was astonished to find a place here in the valley that had Ipswich clams. Ipswich clams are some of the best in the world. Have been there many times on our way from apache junction to the coyotes games in glendale. I grow up on new england seafood and these clams put me right back... More

Went back to Taylor's a couple weeks ago. Food is fabulous & we loved it. It's the only restaurant I know in my area that serves whole belly fried clams. Being from the East coast I really appreciate being able to get those here.

Best codfish strips on the westside and you can order and pick up. Friendly staff and super service. If you haven't been here before, I would call ahead for directions as it is hidden in the corner of a small business plaza.

Anyone who tells you they are from the northeast and that this place has good fried clams is high. The fried clams just edible but that's the best that can be said. It's been a very long time since these clams have seen a shell - more likely a jar. The chowder is gelatinous and full of rubbery pieces of... More
