Great little boutique gift shop. Bought kids toys - a wooden coffee machine that our 6yrs old could not walk away from it. Had brunch at the cafe next door. They make really nice flat white. Fresh Scones, jam & dollop cream were good. Better if jam came with fluffy whipped cream though. Great gluten free roasts + fried eggs accompanied with tomato relish. Will come back here again.

New owners have totally revamped the cafe and eating area with new furniture, new menu. Great Fish River coffee and fresh delicious food, largely home cooked.
Well worth a visit!

My kids won’t let us drive past without stopping for the brownies that they claim are “the best on the planet”. Massive vanilla slices too that the husband can’t walk past. Great coffee, awesome service and I highly recommend you call in.

We visited for lunch on the last Saturday of the Mayfield Gardens Autumn Festival. They were extremely busy and we could not fault the service given by the lovely girls who served us.
Very nice egg and bacon roll and we only wish we could have fitted in some of those delicious looking desserts in the cabinet.

Cute little cafe with a nice outdoor area. We were driving past on the way from Bathurst to Oberon and hadn't planned to stop here, but saw quite a few people sitting at the outside tables, so decided to stop and do a U-turn and drop in. Glad that we did.
We just had coffee and cakes. Everything pretty good, although the vanilla slice pastry was a little soggy. Great to see that it was all home made though. The coffee was nice, and the setting was lovely. It is only a few metres back from the road though, so not exactly peaceful and quiet, but still a pleasant location to sit and look out over the fields. Coffee and food was slow to arrive (country time?), but the service was friendly and we weren't in a hurry.
Overall a great little place in the middle of nowhere!

We had a lovely lunch with friends here, we had a blt on turkish bread& there was heaps of filling. We then had great coffee and scrumptious salted caramel and macadamia tart. Highly recommended this cafe, a great chef & host. Will definitely be back.

From the outside we were dubious that we'd get a good coffee much less a gluten free option but they had both. Service was great as was the food and the coffee, a great find.

Driving out of town to our accommodation on Friday and saw the fish river roasters sign. We had already eaten breakfast at accommodation (shame!) as the blueberry pancakes on the menu looked great! We stopped for coffee on Saturday. You can’t see the real atmosphere from the road but when you enter its beautiful. Friendly, quick service and love fish river roasters. Such an enjoyable coffee looking out at the scenery.
Would love to go back for a meal. Only open Friday-Sunday.
If flies bother you, best to sit inside, fly spray is on tables outside if you want it.

Had a fantastic stop today at the Avenue cafe. Fish River coffee and some delicious slices, obviously hand made on site and beats any Sydney cafe hands down. Will be back to have lunch, the cottage pie looked outstanding. Great outside seating, warm friendly staff.
