If you like coconut cream pie, here's your breakfast! Oh, everything "breakfast-y" is good too, but I often skip those calories and go straight for the dessert. This is a genuine hometown cafe; the staff are friendly and, even if they don't know you the way they do everyone else in the place, they make you welcome. One of my... More

This long-time local favorite (possibly due to lack of competition) offers standard diner fare with one exception. Trapper's Cafe has a magic ingredient that keeps them on the map--pie! From apricot, apple, blueberry and cherry to chocolate, German chocolate, coconut, and banana cream, this is the place for pie. For holiday pies, it's best to place an order for a... More

I stopped in before lunch (11:30 am) and found lots of locals already sitting and enjoying lunch. Usually locals only visit a Café with a good reputation. I was not there to eat lunch but to buy some of their famous homemade pie. I bought three take out pieces. One chocolate cream, one apple and one coconut cream. I tried... More

Trappers is a cafe with good food. It isn't fancy but cafe's aren't meant to be. I would go again although I prefer it for lunch rather than dinner.

We stopped off at trappers looking for a good meal. I've been there before but my better half hasn't. I love that place but now they will see us even more. She fell in love with the service, old town atmosphere and especially the meal. She had chicken breast and I had a burger. The chicken was cooked to perfection... More

We had just been to Malapai Meat Processing plant outside of Taylor and I asked the gal what restaurants used their meats. One of the choices of restaurant names she gave us was Trapper's Café. I had wanted to go there so off we went to have a hamburger and a piece of pie. They have super homemade pie. We... More

We heard about this place and some of our friends invited us to go try it out. Food was awesome at very reasonable prices, We had the lite portion and glad we did as it was plenty to eat. I hate to see the regular portion as the lite portion was more than enough to satisfy our needs. The service... More
