Had the vegetarian pasta - very tasty. Curt is a great source of info on things to do in Drake Bay as well as local history. His photos of Drake are on a video monitor and are gorgeous. Great food, photos and Curt.

A good place to eat at a fair price. The owner has a particular insight about Drake Bay where he defends it as the best place in the world - he really loves it. If you like to talk and you are a social person you should go this place, if not don't go because Curt (the owner) will be... More

We only got to try one of the three dishes on the menu - the Specialty Plate, and it was delicious! Fresh fish wrapped and cooked in a banana leaf, served with very well seasoned mashed potatoes and a mix of vegetables! Would definitely go back to try the fish tacos! Maybe on our next trip to Drake Bay? :)

Gringo Curts is my favourite place in Drakes Bay, purely due to it's simplicity, great customer service, and really well priced (huge portion!) meals. He has fresh fish daily and cooks it to perfection with veggies, or pasta, or mash, or in a burrito (basically all the best ways), the flavours are really fresh and delicious, and the fruity smoothie... Curt just want to help with all his knowledge about the area, whether you eat there or not, because he loves living in Drake Bay. Very simple Manu with three items. FRESH catch of the day, veggie or pasta. You can even bring your own beer and Curt will chill it for you. A gourmet meal, big portion at budget... More

We had such a positive experience here I'm not really sure where to start... First I'll point out that the vegetarian pasta he has is absolutely amazing and Vegan Friendly. Seriously I was extremely surprised as usually most restaurants don't know how to make vegetarian food actually taste good, he's got it down to a science. Even my meat eater... More

This restaurant offers 3 different dishes that include fish on it. You can order one dish only because it's enough for 2 people. Very tasty. Curt, the owner is very friendly. Good service, good food and they present good Costa Rica nature videos.

We had a lovely dinner at Curts. We had his special, which was fish filet of the day with mash and veggies. One plate will feed two people. With a glass of wine and a very boozy smoothie it was 15.000 colones. Not bad.

Terrific grilled seafood with creamy mashed potatoes and salad. Absolutely delicious, nice and cozy athmosphere and excellent service. Curt is a really nice guy and will tell you all about his adventures around Drake Bay, assisted by the slideshow of incredible pictures and movies he has to show for them. We had a lovely evening.

Gringo Curt's Seafood & Visitor Center was established June 2010 and our menu has not changed to date. We have pride in our small menu because it assures that we can provide freshness throughout the year by purchasing fruits, vegetables and fresh fish daily. There are many benefits to having same day caught fish but one downside is that we cannot guarantee a time that we can open. If we have fish at 12pm, we open. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to your visit Pura Vida!
