I can't recommend this restaurant enough! Every dish on the menu is prepared with a culinary passion that knows no bounds, by its chef, a local legend in my eyes. No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. And now the restaurant has a...second level with a nice balcony to sit at to watch the world go by on the street below. The owner also has the best library in San Pedro, where you can rent books by the week. Great music here, too, the owner also being a popular DJ. Love Huumus Ya!More

Waited for the food a long time and when it finally arrived, the pita bread so soft and didn't find any flavors also in the Falafels so tasteless, and in the salad too. Didn't felt like a Falafel meal, I just couldn't eat it. Potatoe...fries were okay (with salt added).. And there's a kid from a worker that didn't make it comfortable to eat there at all. I thought at any time he could grab my food or any of my stuff at any moment. And nobody did anything. I had to leave and mix it with other food to eat it.More

One of the best places to eat in San Pedro. Everything I have eaten from Hummus Ya has been absolutely delicious. The staff are amazing and will go out of their way to help you and they are always smiling and friendly. I cannot recommend...enough!More

I'v had the pleasure of eating at Hummus-Ya on many occasion and never a disappointment. The variety of dishes prepared by this family owned restaurant (sisters Clari and Amy) is sure to make anyone feel at home while discovering teats of the Middle East and...Asian cultures. The place is really chill and easy. Everyone can come as he or she is and just hangout with drink's or enjoy amazing self cooked food. We had the chicken shawarma and kebab plate. Both tasted fantastic and even the shawarma bread is self-made! Good...prices as well. Can highly recommend!More

I didn't enjoy my meal there. They didn't have a bathroom (I was allowed to use the staff one) and no water to wash my hands. When I sat down to eat, the waitress suddenly leaned from behind chewing gum and checking her phone right...next to my ear. Very awkward.More

Food was fine. Place had a distinctly unclean vibe. Everything (tables, menus, cushions) was covered in flies and could barely eat without fending off flies from landing on the food. Really made it difficult to eat comfortably.

I've stayed in Hummus Ya twice. They have two rooms to rent - excellent for couples, singles or a small group of friends. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like home. Besitos a Clari!

For a place called hummus-ya the hummus was pretty terrible. I was really disappointed with the falafel as well. The cat that came and curled up on my lap for the entire meal was totally worth it though.

The food here is delicious, we all loved our meals (though they took a while to come out). The chicken in the wrap was delicious, and also the dips with bread we had for a starter was delicious. The setting was rather unenjoyable at the...time we were there (7/8pm), as there was a psych trance rave occurring in the backyard of the restaurant. So as we were trying to eat our food, we could hardly hear the conversation as it was overpowered by extremely loud doof-doof noise. The cushions and laid back setting is cool and could have otherwise been enjoyed by customers, only if there wasn't blasting music in the background. Would recommend for the food, and to come during the day to avoid another rave scenario.More

First, the good: Bohemian low sofa-type seating w/cushions was fun and comfortable. The kids loved their french fries (once they finally came.) That's where it ends. My friends and I (5 adults & 3 children) came in at 6:15 on a Sunday night, and were...the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived. We waited over an hour for our food. Some- but not all- of our meals finally came out. Then 20 min later a few more meals. Then, at least 30 min after that- and after everyone else had finished eating- the last person in our party finally received her meal- even though, bizarely, it was exactly the same meal someone else had ordered- and only a falafel/humus plate! My own 45Q meal arrived without the salad and pickled vegetables that were supposed to come with it. I called this to the attention of the waiter. His response was "you want a salad"? I reiterated that I would like the salad and veggies that were supposed to COME WITH the meal. He never brought them. I had also ordered the chicken shwarma, which was billed as "chicken breast, marinated in syrian sauce"- and received instead a very small bowl of balls of ground meat in some kind of gritty, pasty sauce. Not wanting to wait yet another hour, I just ate it. When we went up to the register to pay (since no one ever approached our table again), the woman at the register refused to take anything more than 5Q off the price of my botched meal and was completely unapologetic. There are many better restaurants in San Pedro staffed by nice people who care. Don't waste your time or money here.More

We absolutely loved Hummus ya!! We were welcomed as if we were family. We sat down and immediately greeted by the owner. She was very friendly. Clari (the owner) made sure we were comfortable. She along with her sister, made the most delicious hummus and...schnitzel I have ever tasted. You would be happy to have lunch or dinner at this restaurant. There is a varied menu. All of which I will be going back to try each dish. This is defiantly worth checking out. They are very generous with their portions as well as making you feel like you are with family. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Thanks again for making our visit memorable. :)More

The service and quantity of food for your money was terrible. My girlfriend ordered a beef kebab and side salad and I ordered the special - chicken schwarma with a side of pita bread and hummus, 15 minutes later out comes the "beef kebab" -...2 tiny pieces of beef on a plate accompanied by a bowl of salad....no dressing....accompanied by a plate with a pita bread and hummus, the place was dead as well so bare this in mind....i waited an extra 20 minutes before asking where my Shwarma was to be told she had forgot my order. No apology or discount off the bill. Highly disappointed and recommend either shanti shanti or ha-falafel instead!More

I came here with my brother. We saw the special on the board and it sounded good so we went in. We sat down and were asked if we wanted a drink. I asked for a gin and tonic. The wait staff left and asked...if they had that. They didn't. So we asked for a bottle of white wine. They said that they were out of that, but I could walk to their store (in the same complex just across the walkway) and buy a bottle of wine there. I got up and went over and the wait staff walked over with me. There was no employee in the store my waitress rang me up. Now that was odd, why not just bring me the bottle of wine and add it to my bill? I returned to my table with my bottle of wine and the waitress came to take our food order. They were out of the special so we picked two different plates, one of which was the hummus plate. I went and tracked down our waitress after sitting for 10 minutes with my unopened bottle of wine sitting in front of us. She went and found a wine opener and opened the bottle and walked away. I went and found her again and had to now ask for glasses! The food finally arrived. The restaurant has hummus in their name and the hummus was watery. It was sliding around the plate. Our other dish was unappetizing looking as well. The pita bread was very good, but that is the only positive thing that I can say. This was a "three strikes you are out" kind of restaurant, but they earned three strikes in one visit.More

This is a good place if you are starving, on a budget and not a falafel snob. I had the falafel/hummus pita and it was really big! It wasn't the best one I had ever eaten, the pita bread was really soft and the whole...thing was kind of falling apart a bit in my hands but it was tasty enough and hit the spot, for not much money.More
