Best breakfast in Atitlan for now. Great ambiance a little away from the pollution. And they give "cafe refill gratis". I took the Chapin (scrambled eggs, plantains, black beans, cream cheese, fruits and bread) and i highly recommand. What make a difference with other is...that its tasty and not expensive.More

Considering how loud and crowded most of the restaurants on the main stretch can be, the quiet atmosphere here was great. Delicious, huge servings of food. We really enjoyed the game shelf while we waited, but we were also served quickly (by Guatemalan standards)

Every day they have a Menu of the Day for 20 Quetzales (really good value compared to everywhere else in this town). The first time we ate here we had chicken wings, chips, veggies and tacos with a drink. It was so good we came...back the next day and had a mixed grill platter with guacamole and a drink. It's locally run and the people are so friendly. It's right in the centre of town so definitely worth a visit. And another. And another!More

Nothing special. After reading other reviews, we were enticed but we left disappointed. We didn't go back again.

Affordable and delicious food. Had their spaghetti with meat sauce and it was yummy. Big portion too. There was a live music with band that night we had dinner here. Very cool and social place. In the quiet side so not too crazy.

My family and I were passing through San Pedro at the end of a day of touring in the area. I had read several positive reviews about Garden Restaurant and thought it would be a good option for my family, which has varying tastes in...cuisine. Since they offered both Mediterranean, burgers, Guatemalan food, etc., it sounded like a good choice. We arrived for an early dinner, around 4:30 pm and there was adequate seating in the palapa style restaurant for our group. A couple of tables were pulled together by the hostess and we were able to sit together. The hostess didn't speak a lot of English, but thankfully we had a few in my group who speak Spanish pretty well and we had no problem ordering. We started to ask about several of the dinner items on the menu only to find out that many of the items we were interested in couldn't be made because of limited or no ingredients for the dishes. We were told that there was only enough food for 3 kebabs, 2 chicken dishes and one hamburger. Those who wanted those specific dishes ordered them while the others ended up ordering breakfast food. The food that was served was nothing exceptional. Kebabs were a bit dry and rather small. The family members who ordered breakfast foods seemed to be the happiest with their selections. The restaurant is easy to find and is a relatively short walk from the pier in San Pedro. If you go up the hill from the dock and take a left at the first main road, you will walk about 5-7 minutes and the restaurant will be on the right. Just ask anyone where the Hotel San Antonio is located and they will point you in the right direction. Prices are in the low-moderate range, but unfortunately I didn't feel the quality of the food was at par with relatively low prices offered at the restaurant.More

Had lunch there today with some friends. Cozy bar/restaurant with palapa type roofing and friendly staff. I was wanting some fresh vegetables...tired of frijoles with every meal. Didn't look at the whole menu but the Mix Salad (Q35) was delicious, crunchy & served with warm...bread. One friend had a Falafel Pita (Q23) but was not impressed. The other had Falabich Plate (Q30) and liked it. Clean unisex bathrooms out back near the accommodations. Free wifi. There is also laundry service offered out back.More

This is a cafe/restaurant on the main street of San Pedro. I went there several times during my stay there. The first time I ate there was because it was right below my hotel. They have amazing home-made cookies! I went there another day for...lunch and I tried the hummus and a breaded chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious. The service was very good, people were very friendly and kind. There are also some board games in case you want to play something while having coffee or while waiting for your food. I'd definitely recommend it.More

In one week, I ate here 4 times. It is clean, the food is great, service is good and very reasonable priced. I had the special Mediterranean plate with hummus, falafel, and salads. Everything was delicious. Some nights there is live music. A family run...restaurant with wonderful owners. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.More

The owner/chef/other staff members child was around, allowed to scream and tantrum while we tried to chat and eat but the food made up for it.. Presentation was excellent. My friend ordered the Grilled Veg selection and it came on a big round plate with...a lot of variety and colors. I ordered the Falafel Balls and they were super tasty - green inside - with spinach and nuts.. different to what I've tasted before! A good experience and definitely worth venturing away from the busy-ness of the main drag of restaurants. Would recommend and go again!More
