Fine dining in Fuengirola - the service, food and wine was exceptional.
The welcome was warm and I was shown to a lovely table in an open courtyard decked with a canopy of greenery and wisteria.
I knew I was onto a winner when I saw the Maldon Salt in the kitchen, the finest sea salt in the world from Essex.
I selected the “Reccommend wine” and was poured a lovely Vedejo which was so good and reasonably priced I ordered the bottle.
My first course was the smoked duck with a passion fruit sauce which was not only sublime but work of art on the plate.
This was followed by the catch of the day of the day which was tuna served with South East Asian overtones, this was cooked very rare and was absolutely sublime.
For desert I chose the baked cheesecake with berries and cardamom accompanied by a dessert wine, disappointingly I cannot remember the name (guess I’ll have to go back…)…
A first class experience which competes (and beats) any London or Edinburgh restaurants of this type and standard I have dined in. Looking forward to my next visit
This is an exceptional fine dining restaurant.

I've dined at this establishment since 2020, and look forward to the times to come.
Though prices everywhere has jacked up, and quality has fallen, Arte y Cocina is the one place where they haven't lost their touch.
Meat tender enough for you to chew with your gums, and fish as fresh as they come.
The staff's service is impeccable, attentive and friendly.
I recently went with my partner to celebrate Valentine's day, and the restaurant's setup makes it the perfect place to enjoy an intimate evening.
This place Is definitely a must try & REPEAT!

At Arte y Cocina you will find a place where the food reaches Michelin level. We have eaten here several times, and each time it has been a culinary experience beyond the usual.
We visited the last place on Valentines Day, where we had a fantastic dinner. The food was sublime, the tastes were well-defined, and the service was also at the top – the staff is welcoming, professional and attentive to every detail.
Arte y Cocina is definitely a must visit for anyone who loves gourmet food and an unrivalled restaurant experience - we will definitely be back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything we liked about this little nugget: the dishes (meat juice, cuttlefish ink pasta and sausage tomato sauce pasta), the setting, the attentive staff!
Only downside the dessert menu very small and quite atypical: our 2 teenagers did not find their happiness, desserts were too out of the ordinary.
Note is a little more expensive than other addresses but the culinary experience justified it

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here last night. I emailed ahead to book a reservation as I know they get busy. On arrival, I was greeted by name. As a solo traveller, sometimes interactions can feel a little awkward, however, I was made to feel incredibly welcome.
I started with the Burrata which was creamy and fresh with a drizzle of delicious basil oil. I had the cod for main course which again had amazing flavours. The standout for me however, was the Baileys dessert, it is incredible and you must try it!
The service was excellent, and I even got to have a chat with the Chef!
Thank you Arte y Cocina!

So glad we visited one evening.
We were blown away by the quality of the food and the service.
Myself and my wife had a spectacular turbot dish and my son was very happy with his pasta that they made specially for him.
The desserts were scrumptious too.
It was probably our most expensive meal of our holiday, but worth every penny. Highly recommended.

I remember a while back when the Little Geranium opened here in Spain with the chef an owner with the chef and owner professing himself to be a celebrity chef which somehow justified exorbitant prices. It subsequently shut. Enter Arte y Cocina...
It doesn't have an imposing presence on the street where it resides, in fact if you never knew of it you might walk pass mistaking it for a small art gallery. However open the door and you immediately greeted on your left by an open view of your maestro for the evening, Edward a chef who learned under the guidance of Gordon Ramsay amongst others in the Westend of London where restaurants are at their most competitive. His kitchen area at Arte y Cocina expels wonderful aromas of what awaits you.
We had a perfect table for our family's needs at the front of the restaurant and were immediately attended to by the wonderful Guzyal who remembered us from our first and only visit just after lockdown ended. Her enthusiasm and manner put you immediately at ease as though you're about to dine at an old friends table.
We ordered two pasta dishes to share between the four of us ( gnocci with a pumpkin and ricotta sauce and tagliatelle with octopus) for our starter followed by four sea bass as all of our mains accompanied by
Freshly cooked vegetables.
It's a smallish menu but I refer back to something I heard Gordon Ramsay say a while ago which was that a huge choice doesn't mean it's great food, it just means it's a great menu. Our starter was unbelievable, the gnocchi light, the pumpkin sauce rich and creamy. There's something about fresh pasta when it's done well and, believe me, this was done well.
Partly because I'm pescatarian and partly because I love it sea bass has been a bit of a 'Go to' for me when I see it on a menu so I seem to have become quite opinionated on how well it's been cooked. This was cooked to perfection as we're the vegetables that accompanied it. There wasn't a person sat around a table that could find fault in the food and we're not afraid to criticise if it's justified. Beyond happy we all thought the food and service justified by some distance the bill and consequently were more than happy to tip.
Fuengirola needs restaurants like this since its overrun with an endless procession of mediocrity in this area known as fish alley. Its fine dining at its best.
Interestingly we knew it was going to be great from the moment Guzyal came to our table to welcome us. If you've ever been to Italy, or eaten at a great Italian restaurant you would hopefully have experienced the passion and enthusiasm they have for their food. As Guzyal took our food orders Her face lit up when we mentioned specific things as though she was going to enjoy it with us.
If you love great food, if you love being taken care of as though you're in a friends home, if you're celebrating an anniversary this is perfect place to be, you're guaranteed to have an excellent night.

Arte y Cocina in Fuengirola offers a delightful dining experience with a touch of artistic flair. The thoughtfulness behind each dish is evident, delivering a burst of flavor that satisfies the palate. Despite dining with a young baby, the staff's warm demeanor and accommodating nature added to the overall enjoyment of the meal, making it a memorable culinary experience.

Just up from the strip of tourist restaurants where touts try to tempt you in by shouting at you promising a top class class night is this oasis of calm and amazing food.
The food and service was amazing from start to finish, time was taken to explain dishes and recommend wine pairings, nothing was rushed, the dishes were all excellent.
In my opinion, the total bill for 4 people including some wine was great value compared to what else is on offer nearby.
I would revisit in a heartbeat and 100% recommend to anyone who enjoys quality food using local produce.

We have visitied Arte several times and tried very different restaurants in Fuengirola and it is definitely the best place! The staff will always go above and beyond to make sure the dining experience is nothing short of exceptional! The attention to detail in both the presentation and the taste of the food truly showcases the talent of the chefs. It really should be a Michelin guide restaurant.

This place is truly special. From the first bite of scallops carpaccio my husband and I were speechless and the food and service continued to exceed our expectations as the meal progressed.
We were in such awe of the delicious flavours and unparalleled service that we booked a table for the following night. Chef Eduardo and his team and the owner Guzyal delivered us the BEST meal of our lives, two nights on a row. We feel incredibly blessed to have dined at such fine establishment where every single detail is chosen with care. Deserving of a Michelin star to say the least.
Thank you Guzyal, Eduardo and staff for an unforgettable experience!!!

We were attracted to try this highly recommended restaurant by the fantastic reviews and we were not disappointed. It was wise to book as it was clear the evening was going to be busy. We absolutely loved the beautiful artwork in the stylishly designed interior. Our table was inside, but we could see the attractive exterior dining area. We decided to share the artichoke starter which was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Our beef shin pasta dish was incredibly tasty and not too heavy. We had cava, rosé wine and a recommended primitivo. By this time we were defeated and couldn't attempt the dessert or cheese offerings. What a shame. We enjoyed such a warm welcome at Arte y Cocina and would highly recommend it to diners in the area.

We visited this restaurant as a group of 6 friends last night, and from the moment we walked in and were greeted by the lovely owner, we knew this was going to be a good experience. The restaurant is modern, but with a warm ambiance, interesting art pieces, and good lighting.
The menu is not large, but something for everyone I would think, and everything is freshly cooked. The owner, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name, explained all the dishes to us. After we had ordered, she presented us with some home made bread and wonderful olive oil from Malaga. Our starters arrived, all were delicious as were our main courses. All beautifully served, a delight to the eye. The portions are not large, but that was not a problem for us and you just wanted to savour every mouthful.
We had red and white wine, which again the lady was more than happy to suggest wines and let us try them, she couldn’t have been more accommodating.
This is bordering on being a Michelin star restaurant without the prices.
We shall definitely be returning, thank you

This restaurant is outstanding. The staff are so attentive and are so knowledgeable with regard to the food and wine. I had the artichoke flower filled by the piglet and scallops. The dessert was Bailey’s tiramisu. The red wine was reasonable at €25. We finished off with a coffee. The others had the burrata cheese dish and steak tartare followed by pig cheek and Atlantic cod.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Very nice restaurant on a busy street in Fuengirola.
Visited with my wife while on holiday, we wanted something different to the hundreds of tourist places that can be found in Fuengirola all serving variations of the same food.
Arte y Cocina restaurant certainly didn’t disappoint, you are made to feel very welcome from the moment you walk in.
The menu is small but offers a nice variety, the setting is very nice with some interesting art to view. The food was nicely presented and very flavourful.
We were the last people in the restaurant but were not made to feel like we needed to leave once we had eaten, we had the remainder of a bottle of wine and the waitress told us to take as long as we wanted and enjoy the surroundings.
Will definitely go again.
