Beautiful food and outstanding service

This was our first visit here. We hadn't booked & the restaurant was pretty busy but the staff fitted us in and we had a table by the door. The staff and the service they give are outstanding! Order taken quickly, wine brought chilled in an ice bucket as it should be served & staff were very attentive without being overbearing. We had the set meal for 2 and it was wonderful. Everything tasted fresh with beautiful flavours and it was the right amount of food for two people. I would recommend this restaurant and next time we are in Fuengirola we will definetly be coming here again but next time we will book! Many thanks.

Deliciously good

We had dinner here this evening, Friday, the restaurant was cosy warm, bustling with diners and a real pleasure with service and excellent quality food. The mixed combo starter is utterly Devine, fresh tasty produce that hits all the right taste buds. Followed by the most delicious sweet sour chicken and a delightful pennang curry. Faultless

The reference in Thai food in Fuengirola

We have been to Sawasdee several times over the past year and this is probably the reference in Thai food in Fuengirola. The food is consistently good, with very tasty dishes like the Chicken Satay and the Ginger chicken stir fry. The prices are very affordable and the service is attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like Thai food. We will definitely go back.

Good if you like Thai food

I was so looking forward to visiting this restaurant . It’s in a lovely setting and the staff are super nice & friendly . But the food isn’t what we expected & maybe we should have read the menu more closely . We had the a la Carte menu . I had the advocado with tuna . The tuna tasted so strong it overcame anything else in the dish & I put some mustard dressing on it & ended with a bit of a soggy salad . My main was chicken thighs with rice . The chicken was a bit rubbery . A lot of it is very Thai orientated which I wasn’t expecting . For me it would be better to have fresh local dishes rather than over complicated Thai ones . The Canarian wine was ok we have had better . It was disappointing for us maybe not for others .

Excellent little restaurant missing an item

8 of us ate here on a very busy Saturday evening. We ordered a real wide range of dishes and everything was really tasty and the plates cleaned! When asked for extra chillis or spices it was no issue. Our glasses were never empty of beer and even if we wanted more of anything it was no problem. My only complaint was that there was no seafood except a page of prawn dishes - what happened to the fish? Never eaten in a Thai restaurant on a beach that had no fish! Thanks for a fab evening though.

Excellent Thai food

Love this restaurant! We first visited here about 5 years ago and loved it and we were delighted to see it still open on our recent trip. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent, the staff are so welcoming. We had the mixed starter and everything was fresh and delicious. The red Thai curry was superb and the pad Thai was full of flavour. My 7 year old is a plain eater but the restaurant were happy to accommodate and she had jasmine rice with a side of plain fried chicken, the chicken was so juicy, really appreciated the effort for a fussy 7 year old. Really hope to visit again on our next trip.

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years and the food and service is always exceptional. By far the best Thai food we have eaten. Ploy is a very talented waitress and always remembers what we want to order. We look forward to visiting for many years to come. Stevens family

We have finally been able to travel back to Spain and have enjoyed returning to this restaurant again. I’m glad to report it’s still as good as it ever was! The service is friendly and attentive and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The beef massaman is to die for, I’m not sure how many of the starters are homemade, but still tasty.

Have been regulars here for years and when they were in Benalmadena too. So went for Sunday lunch, had the starters for two , great , taste and plentiful. I had a duck disk and my wife a prawn dish, both great. Reasonable priced and lovely service👍🏼 My problem now is that the menu has not been changed for ages and I’ve run out of dishes to have, so please Sawadee change or add to the menu and we’ll continue to come 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We, the family, come to visit Maga every time we come to eat Thai food at this shop. Sawasdee, this time is the same. Every food is delicious, but I like Pad Thai Kung very much. I think Sawasdee in fungirola is a Thai restaurant. Best in fungirola city and great service i will be back again

Fabulously delicious Thai meal

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Sawasdee Thai Restaurant. The staff were friendly and polite at all times. The Thai Fishcakes starter was divine and large enough to share. A wonderful Chicken Green Curry was my main course - tender chicken, lightly coconut taste, and spicy chilli creamy sauce. Accompanied by a delightful sticky rice. My partner had and equally good Beef Salad. So, why not a 5 star review? Simply because the bill was not accurate. We were charged for Prawn Crackers that we did not have and “large” Coca Cola’s when we only had standard size. Of course this did not spoil the wonderful meal but it did make us feel a little cheated.

Hidden Gem

Having lived on the Costa Del Sol for over 12 Years we were invited by close friends for some food and their recommendation was Sawasdee, not knowing the restaurant and not hearing people mention the restaurant before I did not have high expectations although our friends know how to dine. Our friends knew exactly what they were talking about, Sawasdee is a hidden Gem, the service from “Toy”? Was second to non and the food was out of this world, this was by far the best meal I have had on the Coast. We had the mixed starter which was fantastic, my wife had Chicken Massaman which was so well flavoured and cooked to perfection authentic Thai style, I went for the Thai Green Prawn Curry (Thai Spice) and it was out of this world, both served with Coconut Rice, our friends ordered Duck and Garlic Noodles which were perfectly cooked and a flavoursome as any meal could be. We will be regulars at this restaurant

Having eaten next door in the fantastic Indian, which appears to be connected, we thought we'd see if Sawasdee lived up to their standards. All I can say is that my Chicken Massaman (spicy) was one of the most amazing meals I've ever had. I'm salivating thinking about it now! Just don't go back on a Tuesday (the last day of our holiday) to find it closed. Oh well, see you next time!

My husband and me loved the food we had. It tasted so good and it was also so beautiful, the service was excellent and everything was clean and friendly. You should definitely come and eat at this restaurant if you like Thai food it’s so grate one of the best.
