Super friendly and welcoming service from a very accommodating landlady. Great place for all the family with good choice of food for adults and children. Reasonably priced, efficient and comfortable setting. Garden for kids and games inside. A very refreshing change to made to feel...so welcome as a customer. Looked like it was alive within the community as well, with adverts for local events and open for coffee / cake in the mornings on a Friday. Keep up the good work…if only there were more like this.More

This is a great family and dog friendly pub. The atmosphere was really relaxed, the staff were so welcoming and the service was spot on. We really enjoyed our lunch.

We used The Six Bells for my mum’s wake. The service leading up to the day was so good, with good comms between us. On the day, the food was excellent (which everyone commented on). Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you

Honest pub food to a good standard, many items home made. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The atmosphere and decoration are very pleasant although some minor items need a refurb. The toilets were in good condition...and very clean. In summary a very pleasant place to have lunch. They are only open at the moment on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and they seem very popular so you need to book.More

We had an excellent meal and enjoyed the restaurant. The friendly staff serve great food. Slightly curious overspill parking and not enough dedicated disabled spaces.

Very poor. Only open 3 days per week. We had sausages and mash. The skins on the sausages were so hard they were uneatable .Quite small portions. Costs were way over the top. We paid £60 for 2 basic meals and drinks. Our server was...Debs who was excellent.More

Our walking group of 20 plus had lunch at The Six Bells. They ensured that each table received their meals together, a nice touch. The food was hot and everyone commented on how tasty it was. They also said it was a friendly, welcoming place...and we will certainly return when we are in the area.More

The Six Bells proved the perfect spot for meeting up with friends living being midway between Sudbury and Huntingdon. One friend is hard of hearing and we were given a table away from others and the staff turned down the music without being asked. The...food was as fabulous as the last time we visited but the staff are exceptional in their consideration, friendliness and approachability. It is now a fixed venue for us to meet up regularly.More

What is wrong with the residents of Horringer? I don't know how the Beehive is fareing but the Six Bells should have been heaving on a Friday night! We live in Bury which is very well served with pubs but met tonight with friends for...a drink at the Bells and were really warmly welcomed. We lived in Horringer over 20 years ago and loved the old Bells. It's gone through some unimpressive incarnations but the current people are lovely and deserve village support.More

Lovely Venue for a Wake near Bury St Edmunds. Venue beautiful, staff very attentive and couldn't do any more to help us. Food fabulous just what we needed, a few options we changed with no hassle. Would recommend.

We called in for a pint on Saturday as we were passing... what a nice place. After a warm welcome we sat with our drinks and enjoyed the comfy leather sofa, quiet background music and appropriate heating. It's not a local pub to us but...will happily return and recommend.More

Nice atmosphere and setting and great service. The food was quite average and not worth the price - my burger was £16 and I’ve had better for £10 in other places. Lovely pub but I would probably not go again for the food.

We booked a table here for lunch as part of a visit to Ickworth House. It was a cold and rainy day so we were delighted to get a table near to the fire. The food and service were both excellent - recommended!

Lovely pub. Modern decor - spotless too. Had roast pork which was delicious - best roast potatoes I've had in a long time. Needs more apple sauce though! Also lovely home-made cake. Very pleasant and helpful staff with good service. Will need to go back!...Didn't have the dog, but well-behaved pets are welcome.More

Really enjoyed the visit for an impromptu family gathering (9 of us). Great food and excellent, attentive service. Our original booking was for 7 :15 pm, but we were very early, and they were very flexible about changing this at the last minute.
