Had the miss fortune to go to a wake at this restaurant. The food was poor and the service difficult. The waitress had a really bad attitude and ended up upsetting some fellow dinners not at our table. Developed in to an interesting confrontation! The bill was outrageous and wrong! Given the event and that some people were very upset... More

We spent New Year's Eve in The Ship. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was okay. They even welcomed our dog. What really surprised us was the inconsistent pricing of the wine. We ordered three large glasses of white wine during the course of the evening.Even though they were all exactly the same we were charged £6.75 for... More

Nothing too special, but compared to other food joints around here. It's good. Nice atmosphere . Good quality produce.

Warm welcoming pub and staff with a lovely log fire. However that's was it really. My wife chose the fish - small portion served on a cold plate. I had "pie of the week" claimed to be chicken and bacon - small tasteless portion (it was hot though). We shared a small dish of very good mussels to as a... More

Great old pub with great ale choices. The food looked great but we didn't have time. The bar snacks were tasty and had good options. Our dog was allowed in and very happy when the lovely owner gave him some treats. He also gave good advice about the area. Will be returning when next in Cornwall

Visited at lunchtime. Ordered mussels, a salmon salad and a burger and sausage for the boys. Mussels were gritty and the sauce tasteless and thin, bread was slightly stale. Salmon salad was actually a bit odd, burger tasted of vinegar for some reason. Genuinely a poor meal, and most was left. Service was fine and polite and there are some... More

Had dinner with family the food and service was excellent the management very hospitable. The only thing that put a dampener on it a group came in and were about to perform, they were the rudest set of people I've come across in a long time, one rammed repeatedly her chair up against mine two others barged into the backs... Haven't been here for a while but had friends visiting from London who wanted "great fish and chips" and a "real pie". Rang ahead to check there would be a pie on the menu and booked a table. Initial service was polite and attentive, and orders taken swiftly. Then things began to go down hill. My wife ordered mussels -... More

The re-launch of a Wadebridge institution in August 2013. After a total refurbishment the Ship Inn is back serving great food, well kept beers and an eclectic wine list. Now winter is drawing in come in and enjoy a drink in front of our wood fires.
