The Old Ship Inn has always been one of our Padstow favourites during our visits and this was no exception. We had experienced a disappointing meal at The Harbour Inn the night before and decided to try the food here for the first time. Three of us selected the Monkfish with cider cream sauce and the other ordered the Surf... More

This is the first time we have tried food here - we visited middle of May 17, so just before Padstow was really busy with tourists, but there were reserved tables. It was pretty quiet and we didn't wait long for food. We had fish and chips with garden peas which was lovely, and pork loin with bubble and squeak,... More

We were staying the weekend in Padstow and looking for somewhere to watch Gloucester Rugby play in the challenge cup final. Locals had recommended this pub as a rugby pub and they were right. We were welcomed in our Gloucester shirts and the tele was changed over to show the game. Everyone was very friendly. We ate here too and... More

Stopped here whilst visiting Padstow for the May Day celebrations, great atmosphere, staff all worked extremely hard keeping everyone served with food and drink and managing to keep smiling... :) the place was packed for most of the day so this took some doing. Good selection of locally produced real ales and menu with something for everyone.

We came here for lunch and was quite disappointed compared to previous visits! For the price you pay I would expect better, I would go again if anything just to give them another chance as we have had great meals there previously!

We went for lunch, the chicken wrap was brilliant but the rest of the meals were very poor, the bread was minimal compared to the amount of hummus and the soup was by far the most salty disgusting inedible thing I have ever eaten. Overall would not recommend this place to anyone. Only positive was the service was friendly and... More

had a casual lunch and a great family dinner here - dover sole was up there with the best I have ever had and half the London restaurant price. £5 for a basket of prawn crackers was a bit strange but apart from that everything was fantastic

My wife and I stayed in Padstow over the Easter bank holiday weekend and we visited the ship hotel everyday. We love popping in for an early drink before it gets busy and sitting and chilling in the court yard at the front, when the weather is good it can be a bit of a sun trap. We also had... More

This place looked busy from the outside nice sunny courtyard. Inside they clearly had had a busy lunch service, we sat in the conservatory end. Friendly staff from point of entry to a warm goodbye. Food is served all day with a good selection of specials available. We chose crab salad , which at £18 was rather pricey , but... More

The Old Ship was a good little pub that catered for the 10 of us. Sat in the courtyard and watched the world go by waiting for the kids to return from the town. All in all, OK.
