Rarely am I moved to write a review. Our impromptu visit with a walking group for lunch today was all good from the reception, to drinks, seating, very pleasant, competent staff, excellent and beautifully presented food. Being an Otter beer enthusiast, I was in heaven....More

Great local beers and good pub food. Friendly staff. Not one of the best buildings or settings but is right in town.

The Holt yet again proved to be the ideal place to take friends for dinner. The menu changes regularly. The starters ranged from moules mariniere to rare roast beef. The mains included venison, pork and sea bass. All were well presented and delicious. No one...More

Pre-booked this restaurant based on the reviews as we were spending a few days in the area, we were not disappointed. The welcome was good with a lovely log fire on a cold evening. We had a round table, always good, with space to park the...More

Just fabulous. I was working away from home and decided to have a treat. I was alone and the staff made me feel welcome. The food was just divine. I knew every course would be wonderful so it hardly mattered what I chose. I had...More

Seven of us dined for £120 so that gives an idea. Most had fish and chips but there were many other things too. Local produce is to be had. Quite spacious and good atmosphere. We were upstairs where l think it is quieter.
