Great lunch but was made to feel humiliated for asking for mayonnaise. "They asked for extra mayo" was the comment heard resonating from the kitchen. I felt shamed and sullied.

Fabulous food with great service from friendly and helpful staff. A tasty roast lunch for under £15 a head unless you have the big roast which is a mixture of beef, lamb and pork with two Yorkshires and extra veg. For £17.95 I dare you!...More

Excellent drinking hole on edge of dartmoor. Eat dinner here twice and both times service and food were top rate. Several bars to cater for varying needs / wishes of clientele

Arrived on a wet misty summers day to a warm welcome from the staff. We ate in the restaurant which on a winters day would have a roaring fire. Menu was not extensive but what was on there catered for all guests. One guest ate...More

Initially the service was really good. Opened a tab, friendly bar man. Nachos arrived and were very tasty. Then the main courses arrived. Probably the worst bar meals we've had in a long time. My curry was disgusting and disappointing. The pasta dish was undercooked....More

Even if the question is spelt wrongly, the only answer these days, has to be 'yes, of course'.

This popular pub has been owned by the same family since the 1880.s.We still offer a great range of local, high quality ales, Westcountry ciders and a varied wine list. Our Chef uses really local produce for her very tasty menu, come and try some of our pies, curries, Sunday roasts or just a Cream Tea. We look forward to seeing you soon!
