We always look forward to Sunday lunch at the Blue Lion. The service is attentive but not obtrusive, and the roast beef off the trolley, with all the trimmings, carved at your table, is a classic. The dining room is uncrowded and the open wood...More

Looking forward to a nice meal we headed for The Blue Lion at East Witton only to be very disappointed. I chose Pidgeons breast with fig and chopped hazelnuts, the breast meat was cooked nicely but the overall presentation and temperature was not good. For...More

Fabulous little pub/hotel (we didn't stay) with a really attractive couple of bars beautifully lit and set out - loved the decor and atmosphere and the food was excellent. It was a little on the expensive side - but a real treat.

Great food, although a little expensive. Very accommodating with our dog and had a lovely corner table in the bar. Staff were a bit indifferent, and not particularly warm or welcoming, but they were efficient.

Used to come here often as the food was always very good... cooked to order and decent portions, a tad on the pricey side but worth it. Last time we popped in just for a drink while out for a walk. Paid £7 for a...More

Yes we do. Dogs are allowed in the bar area, but not the restaurant. The menu is the same in both areas.
