We popped in here just for drinks on a day out to Alnmouth, we had had cake and tea in the nearby Tea Cosy cafe, which was lovely and thought we would end our day out with a drink before catching the train home. Purchased...More

Two positives and two negatives from our visit. Firstly I like the reserved table signs which indicate the time the table is reserved from. So if you go in and see the tables are reserved look more closely as you may feel you have enough...More

We called in yesterday (4th July) around 5pm for a drink and perhaps food. It had been raining all day and we had been out and about all day. We ordered drinks and picked up two menus and sat at a small window table. After...More

Enjoyed two meals in this friendly pub in Alnmouth. Nice and busy. Friendly and efficient staff. Good ambience and clean surroundings.

We stumbled upon this lovely inn on the main Street in Alnmouth, it had everything we love, nice friendly staff, great food and accommodation at a very reasonable price.

Being fairly local was expecting to pay around £4.00 a pint for a Stella at this time and with the Festival in full swing..... bit of a surprise when the bill was something like £9.40.....for 2 pints in what is after all a local pub.......More

We had the burger and salmon fillet as main courses. Both were well presented and extremely nicely cooked. Our best meal of the holiday. What's even more impressive is that this high quality was produced on an evening when the restaurant was full.

Poor beer, little atmosphere and quite unpleasant cooking fat smell from the kitchen. Having sampled the joys of another pub in Alnmouth, this was a huge disappointment - ended up leaving drinks and went back to the pub we'd just come from - needs to...More

Good honest and unpretentious pub food. It doesn't try to be haute cuisine but sticks to what it does well. Good beer and atmosphere, very popular with visitors and locals alike. Perhaps a little too dog friendly.

Hi Livyt88 Gluten free was not a requirement for myself so I don't know, however, if you call the hotel direct then I'm sure they will be able to answer your query. The telephone number is 01665 830 983

The Sun Inn is child friendly, but as far as allergy information is concerned it would be much safer to contact the restaurant direct.
