Thank you for a splendid lunch and excellent gin choices. 4 x huge battered fish and chips and one paella. All delicious. Well presented and timely delivery. We tried Edinburgh gin and alnmouth gin too. We will return to try the Sunday carvery platters which...More

Enjoyed a wonderful tasty meal on two occasions. Food well presented and tasty with good portion sizes. Service was very efficient with a full restaurant. Probably best to book ahead. Would thoroughly recommend.

We dropped in when passing with our doggie and we're lucky to get the happy hour - the seafood linguine is one of the best; if not the best we've had- excellent! Thank you 👍😊🍷

Went in 7pm on Sunday evening. Not busy. Waitress wiping tables, pottering behind bar, putting glasses away. We were told where we couldn't sit but not made welcome and told where we could sit. We approached a table that looked Free, asked her if we...More

We fancied pizza one night whilst staying in Alnmouth, but didn't want to eat out, so decided to order a takeaway from here. When we got there, they said they don't do pizza takeaway, which we thought was a missed opportunity when the restaurant was...More

Hello and thank you for your review. The reason behind our restaurant not serving Takeaway pizzas is that during busy periods our traditional wood burning pizza oven cannot keep up with demand which then has a knock affect for our service in our restaurant. To...More

We went with great expectations- they run a wood fired oven after all. Unfortunately the pizzas and the service were awful. The place was cold as well - I couldn’t take my coat off throughout the meal. Every other restaurant in Alnmouth is better than...More

A bright setting (as we had our dog with us ) in the bar area but that did not detract from the evening The Italian based menu was extensive but what we had was excellent and in my case washed down with a couple of...More

Called in for lunch and had the absolutely brilliant fish and chips and the mussels in garlic and cream. Best kept Wainrights Golden. Just wish we didn’t have to travel over 240 miles to get here

It was quite a cold day when we visited and received an excellent warm welcome. This is a dog friendly pub, clean and well presented. We ordered the fish and chips as they were heavily advertised and we were not disappointed! We will certainly visit...More

This place has got a good reputation for its Sunday lunch and when we went it lived up to the good things people had been saying. More a restaurant than a pub - or perhaps has more than one identity, depending on the time, but...More

Definitely a child friendly place. Was a really friendly and helpful place so I'm sure if you asked the chef would be able to accommodate you. All the good is cooked fresh and to order.
