Recently taken over I'm told, so not currently serving pub meals. Nicely refurbished inside, Lovell beet garden opposite, by the rivet.

We visited recently with family and friends and we were delighted with the all round experience. Food was lovely, menu was quite extensive and very reasonably priced, staff were most accommodating indeed, nothing was too much trouble.

Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired at this Inn, the most serious flaw was a tablet lying in the bedside locker from a previous occupant, what would of happened if a child had of been in this room? The owner(?) needs to work on his attitude too, unbelievable attitude for someone in the accommodation industry, when asked if he... More

Ate here 2 nights , food was mixed but only average overall. Poor steaks tasted more like reheated roast beef chunks. Second night was better , duck and fish and chips both tasty but still not first class

He stared, grunted and walked off. Went through to the bar and waited for service. The original chap came (he already... More

We were staying in Gatehouse of Fleet for only one night, and after a busy and active day we walked around the village and found this place to have a good variety on the menu. We were seated promptly after a friendly greeting from two young ladies; one being trained by the other. My husband ordered the seafood tagliatelle and... More

The ship inn is modern family friendly resturant, pleasant staff. The food is tasty with a reasonable choice from the menu. Chorizo chicken lovely, duck with crispy skin very good the kids left empty plates where stroganoff and ale pie once were.
