Sat outside in the blazing sunshine overlooking the sea and mountains and could be forgiven for not wanting to be anywhere else in the world at the time! We visited with our little ones during bank holiday so the queue was out the door. It was certainly worth the wait, the ice cream is delicious, we particularly enjoyed the little chocolate chips within the ice cream. The ice cream is great. Busy, in season, with queues through the door as the servers concoct knickerbocker glories for some. The wait is part of it, somehow. Anticipation, noseying what others are having, listening to the chat. There's no sense of urgency here. It's holidays and ice cream's all part of it.
If it's a nice afternoon there no harm in a bit of indulgence - we splash out on a big sundae or banana split and don't need to eat for a while afterwards...yum!
We used knickerbockers a few times on our visit to Barmouth, the kids were spoilt for choice! I couldn't count how many different flavours of Ice cream they have! Also the creme egg waffle dessert was to die for! We will definitely return if in Barmouth again! 👍🏻
