A real shame….seems to have all the credentials for an enjoyable experience…..self brewed ales and spirits, pleasant seating environment….what could go wrong…..?? The reception you receive is beyond frosty, the “gentleman “ behind the bar couldn’t make it any more obvious that he would much...rather anybody other than the few locals who no doubt frequent the place all year just walked on by. Never againMore

Should have made for a great afternoon - as the beer, cider and spirit selection is superb. A frosty atmosphere would be an understatement . Was it because we weren’t local? Or came as a family? Ashame! But should either advertise itself as a place...for locals wanting a quiet pint, or follow the lead of the majority of the UKs microbreweries and be welcoming to all. Judging from past reviews, I await the response from the proprietors with bated breath… In the meantime, we we’ve gone over the road for a welcoming pint.More

We visited this small bar/ distillery while staying in Barmouth and it soon became our favourite, dog friendly as well serving dog meals with all proceeds going to the dogs trust. There is small selection of snacks available scotch egg etc, served with a smile,...but the main reason for going has to be the own brewed beer & gin , which you will spoilt for choice with, after visiting once our dog wouldn't let us walk past, so we had to oblige. There is well stocked shop selling there own produce so great for gifts as wellMore

Visited on two afternoons whilst on holiday. This is a bijou place with a few tables and old fashioned metal tractor seats as bar stools (also a couple of tables outside). It serves excellent beers, gins and some great alcohol free beers. Bottles are on...sale to take out (£11 for 3) including meads and ciders with a great choice. Sells upmarket crisps & nuts and delicious bar snacks e.g. Pork pies, pickled eggs on platters. Good atmosphere. One gripe, owners are not very friendly or chatty.More

Popped in for a quick pint with my better half. The choice of beer was great and I settled on Jemima's Pitchfork which is great on tap! Will come again!

A great quirky little find on the high street, amongst a parade of shops, so easy to miss! Family run brewery and distillery, specialising in Welsh beers, ciders, rum, vodka and gin, all available to taste and buy from this friendly family run enterprise. Loads...of different flavours to sample as well as a lovely but limited food menu. It’s a small terraced property, so I imagine that it can get cramped at busy times. Well worth seeking out. Free Wi-Fi as a bonus.More

We've wanted to try Myrddins for a while and it didn't disappoint. A small yet spacious, friendly tapproom offering a fantastic selection of their own beers and spirits. Other beers and ciders on tap and a great selection of bottles, all to drink in or...take away.. Nice to see a 3-spirit-sampler on offer in addition to the usual 3 x 1/3 pint beer sampler. Myrddin's rhubarb & ginger gin is delicious and was my favourite. Knowledgeable, chatty owners who obviously take great pride in their brewing/distilling and their premises (which was spotlessly clean) We're already looking forward to our next visit 😁More

I went in for a well deserved drink after a 8 miles walk on a very hot day, tried their traditional Welsh mild which I certainly enjoyed. Ended up buying more drinks to take home as gifts for friends and I was spoilt for choice!...Before leaving I had a nice chat with some lovely locals as well which was a bonus on top of a truly beautiful experience! Highly recommended!More

When an pub or bar is included in the Good Beer Guide CAMRA send them an information pack, including a window sticker. Myrddins have none of these, why? Because they are not in the Good Beer Guide, the owner is a liar.
