Go there if the main entrance of Playa Blanca is closed.
In Boyaca you can find delicious dishes, this is a normal restaurant, average prices, but is the best option if you want to go to playa blanca in Tota's lake if the main one...is closed.More
Old house made into restaurant on the lake around the point from Playa Blanca.
Food just OK. Nice location with a dock and a very small beach.
The road to the restaurant is narrow and hope you don't meet a car coming the other
way....You can park near the top of the hill. Very busy main road due to the parking and entrance to Playa Blanca.More
We took a day trip to Laguna de Tota (Playa Blanca) and decided to have lunch. While there was a restaurant right on Playa Blanca, we decided to try finding Arco Iris del Lago, which seemed to have better reviews (at least on Google Maps)....Once on Playa Blanca while looking across the lake, you start walking to your left and follow what looks like a trail for 100-200 meters or so. You eventually see a sign for Arco Iris del Lago with an arrow pointing to the left, and you come upon the restaurant. You can also get here from the main road (there's a driveway), but the trail is the direct route from the beach. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy, and it's situated right on the lake with excellent views. The menu is somewhat pricey for this part of Colombia, but you're paying for the seclusion and ambiance. Trucha (trout) dishes were between COP$24,000-30,000, but they also have cheaper chicken dishes (around $15,000). Drinks were relatively cheap: $4,000 for a jugo natural and $1,000 for a coffee. Our entire bill for two trout entrees and two drinks was $57,000. The food was very good, though the trout was a little well done for our tastes (the middle was tender and juicy, but the outer parts were overdone). It was nice eating our lunch and watching the white ducks/geese swim in the lake below (we were on the second floor of the restaurant). You should give this restaurant a try.More
