Last August we were around Tagaytay and looking for a place to eat, saw Carlo's. But our kids wanted to have ramen because the big storm just landed and its been raining. I heard mass and hoped that the store was still open. But it...was already closed. So when we drove back a week ago, we had to go visit and try their pizza and pasta. It was superb. Love the pizza. I am not a fan of thin crust pizza, but I had to have more. I cant remember what its called, but its the cheese overloaded pizza. They serve it to you fresh from the oven. Their carbonara, pesto....and chicken parmigiana if I remember it right, were all hits for my kids. Their serving is not to be belittled, its generous. And its a full meal of goodness. Will definitely visit again when we drive south soon.More
We just happened to past by Carlos Pizza's during their grand opening at their new Tagaytay City location on Thursday July 5th, 2018. Carlos moved from a rather difficult to find pervious location, to the new Serin Mall annex. That's the annex building to the...left of the Serin Mall just across from the church and right on the main road. We ordered pizza for take away and had an enjoyable dinner with the 2 pizza's we ordered. We were initially charged a 10% service charge and brought this to the managers attention, of which she promptly and apologetically refunded the 10% service charge. They don't have a telephone number as yet for delivery purposes. However since they just opened that day, the manager says that is forthcoming in the near future. My only comment is that their largest pizza's aren't that big. It would be nice if they made them a bit larger.More
We may have hit this place on a bad night, but its as bad as it can get for us. Their power was out and we arrived at about 5pm. I do not understand why they do not have back up lights or even candles...for the tables. Why even sit customers that will be sitting in the dark before their meal is over. We ordered two different dishes, but did not try the pizza. One of the pasta dish, plentiful enough, was warm on top and cold throughout. We tried to return it to heat it, but they said no power, no microwave to heat it up, I kick myself now for not sending it back and refusing to pay. The other dish was a chicken parmigiana meal, which looked okay, but the chicken was over fried and it had a funky smell. I was worried the smell may have been from lack of refrigeration or the meat had gone bad as the power was out so we were reluctant to eat that as well. As I said, maybe we just had a bad night, but I would think that any restuarant would be ready for a power outage with candles and not have customers sitting in the dark or not having a way to heat up food. Sorry, this place is a NO GO for us. Carlos, be happy that we paid without a fuss and left, must be that Tagaytay relaxing atmosphere.More
I have been here a couple of times with my family and their pizza never disappoints. The thin crust has the perfect crunch to it and the toppings are generously and evenly spread. That said, the place obviously needs a little renovation. They have been...in business since 2004 and I'm sure loyal (and future) customers would appreciate it if they clean up and revamp the place.More
Since we wanted something light for dinner, we went to Carlo's to end our carnivore diet of beef and bone marrows. We didn't had a view of the lake since it was night time but we've been here before for lunch and view was definitely...amazing. We picked mozzarella cheese sticks and pesto pizza and all these tasted close to a legit Italian pizzeria! Their pasta were lacking though. Servers weren't that attentive and we had some trouble with our orders due to some kitchen issues. If you're thinking of skipping bulalo and salads, try Carlo's.More
Pizza and pasta is always great at Carlo's.. their pizza bianca was tdf. Carbonara was also yummy, plus you can enjoy this with the view of the Taal lake!
Carlo's pizza is situated in Tagaytay. They have good Italian food and good service as well. The best thing about them is they have a good view. So you can enjoy your food while also watching the amazing scenery that Tagaytay has to offer.
If you're craving for some pizza, pasta and salad, this is one place to go. They have a lot of seating (indoor and outdoor). They also have a huge lawn and a view of Taal. They also serve rice meals. Salad and pizza veggies served...are really fresh. There weren't a lot of diners when we were there but I would say their food service was pretty quick. Good for already hungry diners.More
When I'm alone and feeling down, I always go to this place. Just staring at the wonderful view and munching their delicious creamy pesto. Although, there were minimal down side but overall, I always feel great and comfortable here. Affordable and good service.
My brother's family-in-law took us here for lunch on a day outing from Manila, and I loved it. The location is perfect for a beautiful view of the lake and photo opportunities, and the pizza was very good also. Nice, cooler temps of course, being...Tagaytay, so it was so pleasant to sit on the shaded veranda and sip some San Mig Lite while we waited for pizze (and not long for that). Definitely recommend!More
Went there with my friends last month, we tried their Four cheese pizza. The price was not bad and the pizza tasted great. Will definitely recommend this place.
when in tagaytay, we get our pizza fix from carlo's. we usually choose an open-air table and to fortify ourselves from the chill, we order the margherita or 4-cheese pizza and the buffalo wings
One thing I hate is falsely advertising a product or service! We drove around for a hour looking for this place. We finally get here, excited, and start by ordering Potato Wedges with cheese and bacon (175 Pesos). The picture on the menu shows a...full basket of wedges. However, when we got our order there was only three wedges, barely covered with cheese. I asked where the rest was and referred to the picture on the menu. The waiter just said that they prepare the orders by weight. This is not indicated anywhere on the menu and our order looked 1/4 the size shown on the menu. I then asked if we could cancel the order and send it back since they wouldn't give us what the menu showed. The waiter went and got the manager who refused to fix the order or cancel it. I told them if they can't correct it then we will leave. The manager was happier with us leaving and throwing away the food than fixing the order. We were about to order another 2000 Pesos worth of pizza and chicken wings but I'm glad we didn't. I'm really disappointed with this place after the reviews I read here. They definitely didn't deserve our business. I'll go somewhere I feel more appreciated as a customer.More
when one wants good old pizza, this is the place. Fast service, great view, reasonably priced, great food!
