Great Food

My wife and I stopped here and the owner/chef was super friendly and accommodating. Made me gluten free walleye and chips, my wife had a pizza and it looked amazing. She said it was great. Highly recommend this restaurant. Went above and beyond for my gluten allergy. Thank you guys so much.

Want fantastic food and travelling the Whiteshell? Make sure you stop at the Brereton Lake resort restaurant! Number one: Greg the owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet , second : he is the chef and he is going to make you only a burger he would eat himself, so it’s going to be fantastic. ! We had the sliders and fries and the kids had the chicken fingers. The sliders were delicious had bacon and tons of onions along with cheese whiz for the cheese! Do t forget the bacon either. Homemade and hand made burgers. We left wanting more. Also, this is the only place Out here you will find local brew on tap! Little brown jug and Torque, as well as, others! Kids said the chicken fingers were really good ! Thanks for making such great food! We had a really great night!

Really nice place with indoor and outdoor dining. Very large portions and food is very good. Most platters are around $20 and come with fries or onion rings or a mixture of both and coleslaw. Everything is homemade.

two things a restaurant should provide one is food the other is service

There are two things that a restaurant should provide to paying patrons. One is the food the other is the service that comes with providing the food. Attended for breakfast with hash browns instead I was presented with (day old?) fries which are not hashbrowns. The server when asked why I had fries on my plate said they chop up the fries to look like hash browns. That is like saying if a T bone steak is ordered and instead are presented with minute steak because they are both beef products. Decided to give them another chance the next day as the dining options are limited in the area. Attended for lunch, only one table was occupied and we went to seat ourselves but was told by the server we had to wait to be seated. The server then filled glasses with various drinks for the table and then took all of their orders before seating us. We moved to a window table and when I asked our server to clean our table became upset as the table that was chosen for us had already been cleaned. They then proceeded to almost spray the cleaner right at us and after the cleaning we had to clean the table ourselves anyway. It appeared that placing an order would have been too much of an ordeal for our server so we left. We are the paying customers that deserve not only quality food but pleasant service as well for our dollars. We received nether from this establishment

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the BLR for our anniversary dinner. Greg is the host with the most, didn't realize he was the barkeep at Lisi's Ranch House in Winnipeg back in the day. Best deep fried pickles I've ever had. Ribs that fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. Steak sandwich needs a better name, because it puts every other steak sandwich to shame. And Long Island Ice Tea that parties like it's 1985. It's worth the trip!

Cheerful service above and beyond

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed the kayak rentals and hospitality from Kim and Greg. We were a day late in making our arrangements, but they accommodated us cheerfully and even had the kayaks delivered right to the lakefront for us. The kayaks were in top shape and came with clean lifejackets and paddles - an added bonus in these times where cleanliness is needed. I would recommend Brereton Lake Resort and Kim and Greg to anyone who is looking for a great stay at the lake. Well done folks!

Fun times in The Whiteshell

My family has eaten here a few times. The owner was great with my niece. All the food is tasty. The burgers are good and so are the chicken sandwiches. Had Caesar salad here before and it was next level. Wings are also good. Have never had a bad meal here. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting The Whiteshell. We’ve driven from Jessica Lake to pickup food and it was always good and hot. The convenience store has great ice cream as well.

Hidden gem of a restaurant in Whiteshell.

Brereton lake resort restaurant We have driven by this restaurant many times but decided to checkout the restaurant after our last hike in the Central Whiteshell. What a great choice. We were surprised how nice and spacious the restaurant was once we were inside. There is diverse choice of items on the menu. I had the hot roast beef sandwich, which was very good. We also had the Reuben, Pickerel and the Ribs which were all good as well. We came in starving after our hike and left well fed. The owner Greg , I believe, was a good host and it was fun socializing with him. We will definitely be back.

Good Pizza

We went the the Brereton Lake Restaurant for lunch. We ordered pizza. We had the Ham and Pineapple Pizza. It was the small size but it was enough for the two of us for lunch. They used chunks of ham and lots of cheese. We enjoyed the pizza. Very tasty.

Great Food

We stopped for lunch on our trip through the Whiteshell Provincial Park. The food was absolutely amazing. The owner served us and was very friendly. He disinfected the tables before everyone sat down. The food came really quickly too. I would love to go back and stay at the resort.

Great food, great price and fantastic service. The deluxe burger and the Greek salad were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. Greg does a super job serving his guests. We will definitely visit again! Thanks.

Poor experience!!!

I’m absolutely blown away with my experience tonight at BLR!!!! I was at the restaurant tonight and I heard Greg very loudly yelling at 2 of his staff in the bar. He made the young girl cry and told her to get out of the restaurant. Then proceded to belittle and speak horribly of her to customers at other tables while she was still there. She was serving us at the time and we found her service to be great. It was the worse I’ve ever seen an employee be treated and was horrible to watch. Nice knowing ya Greg we will not support any business that treat their staff this horribly.

We had mussels as an appetizer- very generous portion. Pizza and sliders for main meal and they were soo very good. Service was excellent too.

Did not want to serve us

The website showed that they were open until 6. We showed up to eat at 05:10, the receptionist told us that they close the kitchen an hour earlier than thier closing time. However thier sign on the door states 45 minutes before closing time. So I guess they do not want our business.
