Made a reservation. Checked in with staff upon arrival. Given cutlery. Waited 45 minutes. Nothing! No drink order. No service. Left and went somewhere else.

Drove down from Tobermory with my family to see a local artist play during dinner. The meal and service were great and the venue is really cool. I will definitely be back for their next event. The new owners bring a fresh exciting vibe to...the classic establishment.More

We have a cottage near by and have been eating here often for years. We have never had a bad meal, the food is very good, the portions are enormous and the prices are very reasonable. Considering the portions and the price you certainly get...bang for your buck! The atmosphere is fun, the staff are so very efficient, always hustling. Another bonus is the live local musicians, it is soft music, not interfering like the loud piped in music of other restaurants, how nice that they support local talent, it is definitely a win/win!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

We recently enjoyed a dinner at the Angry Squirrel. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was great! All food was very prompt and delicious. I had a Caesar salad (awesome Caesar vinaigrette dressing) and the pasta primavera and my partner had the burger. All...food was delicious and the portions are generous. Our waitress was so nice and very attentive. We would love to come back the next time we are in the area!More

Only open for dinner and weekend Brunch. We had two brunches and two dinners over the weekend while staying the attached lodge. The food exceeded expectations, in quantity, quality and presentation. Crazy busy for breakfast one morning but my eggs arrived hot and perfectly presented....They have large screen TVs for sports viewing and a small Bar. Staff were super friendly.More

After some confusion , the restaurant part of the Red Bay lodge is now called the angry squirrel, the lodge itself was not sold but is still on the market, the new owners have done a nice job with trying to clean up the restaurants...look, while still keeping that rustic lodge feel, the food tastes great, prices are fair, nice polite staff, they just need to work on the noticeable confusion of some staff members, if ever up this way ,come on in,say Hi to Sean and Deb, give them a try, cheersMore

My partner and I saw the sign for the Breakfast Brunch Buffet and stopped in on the morning of July 23. We were greeted by an enthusiastic young lady who said the buffet was $10.99 per person, and then we seated ourselves. There was only...one other party in the restaurant at the time. The buffet consisted of pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. We also ordered coffee. Sorry to say that we were very disappointed in the breakfast. Then, when the bill came, we were surprised - shocked - to see that the price wasn't $10.99 as originally quoted, but $15.95. Per person. We discussed this with the server and ended up splitting the difference. Red Bay Lodge has been around for a long, long time and I had hoped the new owners would try to bring it back to its former glory. Sadly, it seems that they're not interested in investing the time and energy to make it a success. Or perhaps they'e tried but have given up. They could turn this place into a great dining establishment but need to make substantial investments to do so. A fresh, hot breakfast, served at a buffet, instead of warmed-over fare drying out in an aluminium tray, would have been preferable, especially at $16 per person. The Lodge is currently for sale, and the restaurant is only open Thurs - Sun.More

We have gone to the Red Bay Lodge a couple times with our church group of about 60 people. Twice for our annual "Beer and Hymns" event and for our fall parish retreat. The space, food, and hospitality were awesome. We'll be going back again.

While staying at the red bay lodge I went for wing night at tilted antler .they where not very busy maybe 20 people.I came alone sat down 15 minutes be fore any one noticed me. I ordered the wings, got them in under ten minutes,no...napkins . my waitress gone for 20. I would say the wings came from a frozen box meal from the oven. Not bad but not what I would expect from a restaurant, staff was totally disorganized do not think I would go backMore

The lodge looks like it may have been new around 1940 but the food is good. Bring something to do after you order because it may take a while. We played 2 games of euchre with our friends and the wait for the food was...well worth it.More

Went for dinner when staying at a local B&B. It was all you can eat fish and chips night and our waitress made sure my husband got his money's worth! I had the local whitefish with red potatoes and veggies. It was pretty busy when...we arrived but the service didn't suffer. Inside looks like a lodge, so it has a nice outdoors feel. Great place for a nice summer dinner!More
