I was treated to dinner at The Red Door for my birthday, and what a treat it was. Beautiful location, delicious food, great choice and friendly, efficient staff. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back. Well worth the drive. Hope to stay overnight next time I visit.

Ate here recently when we were squeezed in as the restaurant down the road wasn't open when we arrived. We were given a beautiful table overlooking the water and were very pleased with the menu. It was good value with a really great selection of fresh, local ingredients. Will definitely be back!

You usually have to book for afternoon tea but we took a chance and they had one spare which we shared. Fantastic scone and cakes and lovely view. Will be back again next time I am in the area.

Visited on a Saturday night @ 7pm. Had a pre dinner drink in the bar area. Lovely bar and soft sofas with a roaring fire. Really nice. Heading into the dining room and the menu was great, good choice. Excellent wine too. However there were several children, some school age and some pre schoolers running wild throughout the dining area.... More

Came here recently as a party of four for Sunday lunch after hearing good reviews about this place. We arrived early hoping we would be taken earlier but we were not although this is no fault of the Red Door and it was pleasant to sit beside the roaring fire and enjoy a drink while waiting anyway! Three course €29.50,... More

The place is gorgeous, even on a stormy Sunday night it was obvious. The host was lovely. He offered to dry our coats over the heater so there would be warm when we left. We were seated right away and the order taken quickly. The early bird menu is the only menu available on Sunday night. The restaurant seemed homely... More

Beautiful setting on lough swilly, this is more than a restaurant. The old house is beautifully restored and bar & library so welcoming and opulent to enjoy a drink in.
