We enjoyed two healthy eating choices here- the salad with tuna and anchovies; and the goat cheese and dried fruits. (The menu says fried fruits but don't worry. ). Food was fresh and good. Excellent service.

We had a quiet beer in the afternoon on the outdoor terrace before returning in the evening for dinner. We ate from the Menu del Dia (€14.50 for starter, main course, sweet and bread and wine/sangria). The food was well prepared and presented, the Cocido Montanes starter was really a meal in itself, a very filling soup of beans and... More

Wonderful place with daily menu including typical local dishes for just 14€...... Friendly relaxed staff and one of those places you find by accident that you believe were sent to you...

The proprietor took great care of me and helped me make sure I was able to have a gluten-free meal. There is a beautiful view of the countryside from the outdoor dining room and the meal was delicious.

Our fist night in Santillana landed us here. The restaurant has a nice but small terrace at the rear of the restaurant. We ate menu del dia, my 'first plate' salad was a poor effort, tinned tuna and a few leaves scattered on the plate, my partners mountain stew was apparently the better choice. I fared better with our 'second... More

Uzquiza wasn't our first choice, but it was Sunday and several higher-rated places were shut. Anyway, we had a good meal outside in the garden, the solomillo pork and cod in tomato were both good, and the bottle of tinto went down well. Excellent value menu del dia.

They were very nice and made us a paella of verduras, since we are vegetarians...we went back the next day for hot chocolate and churros. Our most unforgettable dinner this time to Spain.

We used the bar on a number of occasions, for a beer or a coffee. Service by the ladies who run it was prompt & friendly. We took one evening meal there, the 12€ menu del día, and it was decent, satisfying, no-frills food. There is a pleasant terrace at the rear, with views over the countryside.

Lovely town, but we had the menu of the day here and were disappointed. It was definitely cheap but maybe you get what you pay for. My partner had a very thin steak and chips and I had the cod and tomatoes, - which comes with nothing else. What tasted like a defrosted cod and tin of tomatoes. Very disappointed,... More

We dined here for dinner as part of a group tour so we were upstairs and given a set menu. The fabada was the best we had on the entire trip to Northern Spain. We also had the stuffed peppers but had liked them better in Pamplona. The service was adequate and setting lovely. Agree with all the other reviewers... More
