We went to the restaurant for lunch. We were shown our table immediately but we waited 15 min before we were given a menu. Another 15 minutes passed and no one came to our table to take our orders. When we finally attracted the attention of a waitress she shouted at us in Spanish and then left to serve another... More

Stayed here for our Wedding anniversary. What a lovely atmospheric Hotel. The room was excellent and the staff really friendly and helpful. We had lunch on the patio, which consisted of some tapas dishes, all of which were beautiful and the portion sizes were very generous. Will definitely be back!

We stopped here for coffee and to try some of the local baked goods. We sat outside on the terrace as the weather was beautiful. However the restaurant inside is beautiful and cozy. The coffee and the baked goods were good and our server was sweet.

We booked to eat at the restaurant in this hotel when walking past on our first day in Santillana. It is very central and has a small number of tables. All were occupied at around 8.30 or 9 ( time of our booking). The waitress was very busy as she seemed to be dealing with everyone at the same time... More

We had an evening meal at the Hotel Altamira Restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Both the Sea Bass and the Wagyu beef burger (sans bun) were both very tasty indeed. The wine was good, desert was yummy and conversing with our Spanish waitress was lots of fun. The meal wasn't expensive either.

We stopped for lunch here on our visit to the town. We all had the menu of the day at 15 Euro each which included a glass of wine. The weather was changeable so we sat inside. There is a pretty outside terrace if the weather is good. Its a very traditional place and the menu was regional, which we... More

1. I ate the set day menu for 15 euros and got more for what Im used to get in other day menus, so that was nice. 2. The rizotton was big and tasty and the steak was good. Not amazing but definitly good. 3. The dessert, which is usually kind of boring in set menus, was really nice. 4.... More

We had lunch here splitting a tuna salad and a gallician style octopus. The salad was really ok but the octopus was not fresh meat, rather canned meat or something and the accompaning potatoes were actually potato purée made from flakes, you know the kind you but at the supermarket. Terrible for a place a few km away from the... More

I have to say the food I ate here is amongst the best I have eaten anywhere in Spain. It should be on everyone's list of places to eat whilst in Santillana Del Mar. I had suckling pig which was absolutely out of this world. Yes it is not the cheapest place to eat but it is definitely worth the... More
