Food is not cooked right whether breakfast or dinner. Totally useless staff. Eggs were fried earlier and left in olive oil. Hamburger, although I asked for well done was rare. Awful

We are fans of the Spanish "paradores" and this particular one was quite good. Our room was spacious, with excellent views of the Ebro valley and the city of Tortosa. Despite the cold weather (below 0), the room and the hotel were both well heated (one must remember that this is a castle!). Service was excellent. Our only complaint was the... More

Beautiful place very well lit ,impressive architecture but they could at least clean the manure from the pigeons in front of the doors because someone will fall. Other than that the place is fantastic

The restaurant within the Castle would you think set up for a wonderful setting but the expensive and almost captive clientele is due to the walk downhill for refreshments if without a car is then doubly so on the steep climb back to the hotel if you wish to get out so most just grin and pays the money.

It took us quite awhile to find this place (onboard car GPS can't locate the place & Google Map ain't reliable either). You may need to alternate the name as Paradores de Turismo, and ask one of the locals for directions. In sum: The Good (1) Good service by front line reception. They are thoughtful to ensure your child has... More

That's a good shortcut for the hotel AND the restaurant. For me it is only a 3 stars hotel. Way too overpriced... Beautiful location... Outside...

We've stayed in many Paradors and at the Tortosa Parador a couple of years ago. I think the Parador experience is now very tired, worn out. This comes over in the shabby state of the rooms, the really poor quality of the dining 'experience' (Don't eat in Paradores is my advice!) and the general subdued staff. This is such a... More

We chose the specialty dish with all kinds of fish and found it (a) a bit much, (b) not very refined and (c) not very culinary. The staff did not speak english, which was a bit unexpected given the allure of the hotel.

Lunch here was magical. I booked a special table in an alcove (nicho con mesa) next to a stained-glass window (con vitral). It was so pleasant, we got a chess board from reception and lingered here for hours.
